Jenne (jennetheinstigator) | 7439 comments Alternates:
Each number corresponds with the spot on the board.
For colors: The cover has to be at least 50%
For locations: As long as the book takes part at all in the given location .
For Shelves: Any book on the given shelf
For Publication Years: I'll be using how GR has it's publication date listed.
For Authors Names: The first, middle, or last name of the author is ok.
For Cover Items: Must have the given item on the cover
For Titles: Only the first word of the title. A, An, And, and The do not count.
So if the letter is B: The Best Day would be ok. Dear Betty would not be ok.

I played the last rounds and enjoyed. Looking forward to this round starting.

I am however hopeless at coming up with name.

⚜️XAR the Bookwyrm (xar-the-bookwyrm) Hi, all! I'm just doing SS, as I homeschool my son and don't have enough time to do both games. The only name that I keep coming up with is "Seven's Heaven", if we'd like to throw that into the hat.

I can also volunteer to be captain, if no one else wants it. I played the game last round and was co-captain of the Fearless 5 team.

Marty (martymill) | 1299 comments Hi everyone, it took me a while to find my name! Here I am at last. I'm only doing SS too, my schedule is pretty busy right now, with the fall semester winding down and the holidays coming up.

Allison Ann | 502 comments Hi team. Sorry I didn't check in earlier but I'm unable to access the internet during my work day. So no captaining for me. :) I like using our team number in our team name, but I'm not very good at coming up with something. Maybe Seven Wonders of the Reading World?

Allison Ann | 502 comments Morning team. Just having some breakfast before heading to our Remembrance Day service and then work. I've sent you all friend requests (except Marty - we were already on a Bingo, I think, team together once).

Trea and Danielle are both willing to be captain which is awesome. Glad we don't have to guilt anyone into doing it. ;) Do you want to share duties?

Hope everyone has a lovely day. I live in NW Ontario, Canada and it is coooooold looking out there. Going to have to dig out my longjohns pretty soon. :)

When I co-captained the team last round, I was the one doing the rolls for the round right at 1am EST, because my husband works third shift and I have to wake him up, as he has a tendency to sleep through alarms. I'm more than willing to do that again this round and post the roll in the specific thread. If Danielle wants to handle the organizing of the reviews, that would work, or I can do it as well. I'll leave it up to Danielle. 8)

message 22: by ✿~Danielle~✿ (new)

✿~Danielle~✿ (dmh1) If you want to do all of it, I don't mind. However I can certainty keep track of reviews, if you want to split duties.

Let's go ahead and split the duties, Danielle, as it will be a bit easier with my homeschooling responsibilities for my son. Thanks!

I think that since everyone likes Allison's "Seven Wonders of the Reading World" team name, we should use that as our official team name. Shall I let Jenne know?

message 24: by ✿~Danielle~✿ (last edited Nov 11, 2014 04:37PM) (new)

✿~Danielle~✿ (dmh1) No problem, Trea.

Yes, I think we're all in agreement on the name, so you can Jenne our name and captains.

How old is your son?

message 25: by Allison Ann (new)

Allison Ann | 502 comments Thanks for taking on the captaining duties guys. I've never come up with the team name before. If only I still kept a diary. :D

What time zones are we all in? I'm in Central time and I'm generally gone from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. every day but Wednesday. Lots of reading time, not a lot of posting time.

Will do!

He's 5, Danielle, and in Kindergarten. We had him at a traditional school, but when a bullying situation escalated to him being grabbed in a choke hold on the playground at recess one day, I knew I had to get him away from there before the other child did permanent damage to him or even killed him. He seems more relaxed here at home, though it is harder to keep him focused on his work.

That's horrible that happened to your son, Trea. They shouldn't have any worries at that age. Sound like homeschooling is the better and safer option.

You're right, Danielle, and he is much happier here at home with us. The only thing we really have to worry about now is getting him to interact with other children his age, but our library is pretty good with doing lots of children's events.
