SOLVED. Book about an object that becomes a circle [s]

I was recommended this book a long time ago and don't remember the author or title. It's about an irregular object that lives among other irregular objects. It, or "he" feels incomplete and tries to fit with other objects to feel fulfilled but fails, finally he meets a sphere and shortly after rolls down a hill, collects debris, and become complete. If it rings any bells let me know, thanks for the help!

Not exactly the same, but sounds kind of like The Missing Piece by Shel Silverstein. Or possibly the sequel: The Missing Piece Meets the Big O
