I read The Last Sister and The Silence by Kendra Elliot. They're the first two books of her Columbia River Series. I enjoyed them both.

I'm now reading the Dr. Charlotte Stone Series by Karen Robards. It's a Paranormal Romantic Suspense/Crime Thriller Series and spans over four books. Pretty interesting so far.

I've read and enjoyed the first three books of this series. The fourth and fifth book—Deep Tide and Liar's Point—are on my TBR list. I'm hoping I get a chance to read them within the next few months.

Happy Reading :-)

Great review, Pam, I agree with everything you wrote :-)

I remember when I read this book I had to skim over certain scenes as they were too graphic for me. (Though I admit I do this with a lot of Romantic Suspense and Crime Thrillers I read. Lol.)

Still, overall I found it a very enjoyable read. I'm glad you enjoyed it too :-)

I read books 1, 3, 4 and 5 of the Abbott and Lowell Forensic Mystery Series by Jen J. Danna and Ann Vanderlaan.

I'd planned to read these books sometime later this year but I read them now because book 5—Lament The Common Bones—had an academic setting, which was the requirement for the June Reading Challenge in the Tall, Dark & Deadly group. The story didn't have as much of an academic setting as the plot description led me to believe, so I'm not sure if it actually qualified for the challenge, but I did enjoy it.

I enjoyed all the books actually. My favourites were:

Book 3: A Flame in the Wind of Death
Book 4: Two Parts Bloody Murder

I've learned that Jen J. Danna and Ann Vanderlaan have written the FBI K-9 Series under the pseudonym of Sara Driscoll and also that Jen J. Danna has written the NYPD Negotiators Series under the same pseudonym. I hope I get a chance to read them soon :-)
