Romantic Comedy
Cute, Light, and Entertaining

I read The Last Sister and The Silence by Kendra Elliot. They're the first two books of her Columbia River Series. I enjoyed them both.
I'm now reading the Dr. Charlotte Stone Series by Karen Robards. It's a Paranormal Romantic Suspense/Crime Thriller Series and spans over four books. Pretty interesting so far.

I've read and enjoyed the first three books of this series. The fourth and fifth book—Deep Tide and Liar's Point—are on my TBR list. I'm hoping I get a chance to read them within the next few months.
Happy Reading :-)

Police Procedural / Romantic Suspense
Good characterization
Plenty of twists, action, suspense, and some violence
Light on the romance

https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
Police Procedural / Crime Novel with some Romance
Engaging characters
2nd half had plenty of tension, suspense, and intense action
Good balance between mystery, investigation, and romance

https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
New Adult / Coming-of-Age / Romance/ subplot of a Mystery
Cute, but predictable romance with some humor
The research project mystery was the best part of the book.

Police Procedural with a slow-burn romance subplot
Fourth Book in the series
Good characterization
Best read in series order

I read the first three books of the Detectives Kane and Alton Series by D.K. Hood. I enjoyed them very much :-)
I definitely plan to continue this series at some point (hopefully soon) but right now I intend to read a few books by Dana Marton for the Deadly Author of the Month Challenge in the Tall, Dark & Deadly group.

Shelby—I enjoy the Detective Josie Quinn Series by Lisa Regan too :-) The Touch of Evil Series by Kennedy Layne is on my TBR list. I hope I get a chance to start it soon.

Adult romance set in 1843 London.

Lisa Kleypas is great. I don't think I've read this book but I've read her Hathaways series and enjoyed it a lot :-)

I read books 1, 2, 3, 5 & 8 of the Broslin Creek Series by Dana Marton. I'd planned to read three books for the Deadly Author of the Month Challenge in the Tall, Dark & Deadly group but I ended up reading five. I enjoyed them all. My favourite was book 3—Deathtrap.

I want to try her Mission Recovery series, but it doesn't look like I will get to it this month.

Yes, that series also seems interesting. It's on my TBR list too but not for anytime soon. There are several other books I wish to read first. But I'd love to hear your thoughts on it when you get a chance to read it :-)

Romantic Suspense, Crime Thriller
Book 1 in the Baltimore series.
Intriguing, suspenseful, compelling characters
Some disturbing torture scenes

Great review, Pam, I agree with everything you wrote :-)
I remember when I read this book I had to skim over certain scenes as they were too graphic for me. (Though I admit I do this with a lot of Romantic Suspense and Crime Thrillers I read. Lol.)
Still, overall I found it a very enjoyable read. I'm glad you enjoyed it too :-)

I really like how she writes her stories normally. This one was just darker and more graphic than many. I'm glad you enjoyed it too.

Yes, she's a great writer. I've enjoyed everything by her that I've read so far. You're right though. Some of her books are darker and more graphic than others.

I read books 1, 3, 4 and 5 of the Abbott and Lowell Forensic Mystery Series by Jen J. Danna and Ann Vanderlaan.
I'd planned to read these books sometime later this year but I read them now because book 5—Lament The Common Bones—had an academic setting, which was the requirement for the June Reading Challenge in the Tall, Dark & Deadly group. The story didn't have as much of an academic setting as the plot description led me to believe, so I'm not sure if it actually qualified for the challenge, but I did enjoy it.
I enjoyed all the books actually. My favourites were:
Book 3: A Flame in the Wind of Death
Book 4: Two Parts Bloody Murder
I've learned that Jen J. Danna and Ann Vanderlaan have written the FBI K-9 Series under the pseudonym of Sara Driscoll and also that Jen J. Danna has written the NYPD Negotiators Series under the same pseudonym. I hope I get a chance to read them soon :-)
