I've heard from other people that those guys are pretty idiotic and wreckless. I've never watched the show, but I still think I'd side with whoever is stopping even one whale from being killed.
They should probably get someone in there who isn't an idiot, though.
That's the thing they Watched the whalers take 4 whales in one day; beyond incompetent.
I actually happened to watch some of that yesterday, and got a kick out of it. If you want to watch hippies get thwarted at every turn, and cry about getting a scratch on their forehead, and act as though they're going to war, and constantly make themselves look completely inept, and get sprayed with high-pressure water hoses, and get blasted with an LRAD, this just might be the show for you.
I can't bring myself to do turn it on. I see the commercials for it and I just roll my eyes every time and mutter "fucking hippies" at the TV. Although, if they ever air an episode when one of them dies, let me know. I think I'd enjoy that.

I am no fan of whaling but umm this show makes me sympathetic to the Japanese whalers. I don't care if they are just commercial fishermen with the nod from Tokyo. That gaggle of would be hippie pirates is just about the saddest excuse of... of... I don't even know what.
Apparently these folks really want to save whales. True, the concept may be honorable and all that, but I don't believe it. These "Sea Shepherds" are a bunch of fucking losers with no personal value what so ever. Their "captain" is about the most inept fuck-tard ever conceived in a brothel ever! How can one spend 20 plus years at sea and not know a fucking thing about sea craft and maritime law? the 1st mate is even less knowledgeable then the captain. So the two supposed top dogs bring absolutely nothing to the table. But they do weep more then Odysseus in the Odyssey every time they fail. And they do fail, often.
They set themselves up to fail from the get go:
no effective means to deploy their arsenal of offensive non-lethal weaponry(liquid tear gas)
inadequate resources (fuel, food, quantity of munitions)
Their vessel was out matched both in cruising speed and the ability to stay blue side without resupply.
If these fucking hippies were serious about trying to stop what they perceive as illegal whaling then, and have had 20 years of practice, one would think they would be a little better prepared. it isn't like these whaling vessels are classified. they could do a little research and discover how much fuel they hold, what their top speed is and so on. You know plan to win, not make a fucking statement THAT NOBODY IS LISTENING TO. I fucking hate worthless hippies and their inept battle plans for dealing with real issues. I suspect next year they will hold a big concert off in the woods somewhere in New England and fail to have hygiene facilities available for no-paying patrons...
