This pairing was the worst ever! I really disliked both books. Checkmate fit the enemies to lovers bill, but was so over the top and unbelievable that it was a chore to finish. Then we get to Stray... Most unlikable heroine ever. I can't believe there's a whole series dedicated to her. She was immature, selfish and extremely irritating.

The "winner" in this pairing for best representing the theme is Checkmate.
