Are you looking to join Warbreaker?"Hi, I looked through the thread. Can I join Mistborn in November, Elantris and Warbreaker. Can I join in on The Crown of Stars series as well
Kristin wrote: "I would like to nominate Dead Voices by Katherine Arden for a December buddy read. It is the 2nd book in the Small Spaces Series. The books are middle grade level ..."Yes! I was going to ask you about this. I'm in!
@ KristinMy buddy read of November of A Little Life can it be up for 2 months. So for November/December. I want to read it but have been dealing with some health problems, so I am not reading like I am normally do. Thank you.
Kristin wrote: "Yes, Chantal. I completely understand, plus it is a long book. Wishing you lots of support as you navigate your health issues. I will update the Buddy Reads spreadsheet later."Thank you!
Kristin wrote: "Lynn wrote: "For November: Asymmetry and Washington Black"Hi Lynn, I will read Asymmetry with you in November. Please confirm that you are still interested."
Great! Yes, I am! This happens to be the November read for the IRL book club I facilitate. I have it ordered from Better World Books and I should receive it this week or next.
I congratulate you for tackling A Little Life. While I believe this is a book I should read, I will definitely have to be in the mood to tackle it and that is not right now. Good luck!
@Kristin - I will try to join A Little Life in December. Already planned quite a lot in November so not sure if I can start with the others. Please feel free to not add my name to the spreadsheet; I can jump into the discussion as and when I pick up the book to read. Thanks!
@Kristin I’d like to join the buddy reads of -November:
The Lost Girls
December:
Angels & Demons
January:
Oryx & Crake (The three book series)
Thank you!
Sunshine wrote: "Looking to buddy read Thirteen Reasons Why in January. Is anyone interested?"I would love to read Thirteen Reasons Why with you Sunshine!
Sunshine wrote: "Looking to buddy read Thirteen Reasons Why in January. Is anyone interested?"Yes, I’m interested. I have binge watched the series and I love it despite the content being so unsettling.
@Kristin - Could you please add me to the thread?
Oh, I was about to start 3 Act Tragedy for the Buddy Read. I will read it anyway now that I was ready before I start with Mistborn, so if anybody want to join me, I am already in. =)
Kristin wrote: "Updated through here. I will begin posting the November buddy reads soon. New suggestions and seconds can be made through Thursday, October 31."My profound apologies for this last-minute nomination.
Would anyone be interested in reading Silvia Moreno-Garcia's Gods of Jade and Shadow with me in November?
@KristinI'm withdrawing my (very belated) nomination for Gods of Jade and Shadow as a Buddy Read so it won't go onto the December "missing a buddy reader" list.
However, I still plan to read the book in November in time for the GoodReads Choice Awards voting.
Thank you, Kristin. But please, I'd rather withdraw it. I hesitated to nominate it since my nominations are usually unpopular, and that compounded with my lateness this time. :)

Chantal wrote: "Would anybody like to join me for The Pillars of the Earth by Ken Follett for December/ Januari?"I'd like to do it. But I'd need it to be for 2 months, because I have some holidays and I'll travel and I don't know hor much I'll be able to read.
So if you are ok with it, I'm in =)
@KristinCan I be taken out the the little house series. After 3 books I am not really liking the books as much as I wanted to like them.
Chantal wrote: "no problems sonsoles! Its a big book so 2 months is fine with me."@Chantal, Sonsoles, and SarahKat
So which two months will you be reading The Pillars of the Earth?
If the Buddy Read spans December and January, please count me in.
Edited to add: I will be joining for Book 1 only.

Hello. I am going to read the Pillars of Earth, but I will go on with rest if I like the first book, so I can't assure yet. Count me in and let's see
Also, please, take into account that those who started Mistborn saga (#1 The Final Empire) in November, have decided to extend it for 2 months reading, so we won't be starting the #2 The Well of Ascension until January.
Thank you for your time and effort here ^^

I will read the whole series if I like the first one. :)
Continuing with Terry Pratchett's Discworld series in 2020, yes? It's a good place for new readers to jump in also, even if you have not read the first 3 books, because many of these books are standalone or start off various sub-series. Jan - Mort
Feb - Sourcery
March - Wyrd Sisters
April - Pyramids
May - Guards! Guards!
June - Eric
July - Moving Pictures
August - Reaper Man
September - Witches Abroad
October - Small Gods
November - Lords and Ladies
December - Men at Arms

I have read Borne, so we could skip that one unless other people want to join from the beginning, I'd re-read it. Otherwise I'm in for The Starless Sea , The Strange Bird: A Borne Story , and Dead Astronauts for the months you suggested.
I will join the Vandermeer read, I already read Strange Bird but not Borne (not the right order, but whatevs)May: Borne (Novel)
July: Dead Astronauts (Novel)
KristinI would love to join you in May for The Starless Sea.
I'm interested in the Vandermeer one, too, but I can't commit yet.
First, I'll be reading his Southern Reach trilogy first to see if I like his writing. Will decide later, which makes little difference since it only takes two to tang...to Buddy Read.
