I'm assuming this a legitimate offer and a lendable book. Otherwise what you are offering is against your user license for the book, against GR policy and against the law. I just wouldn't want anyone to get in trouble!

Don't worry me too! For me if I really enjoy an authors work, I'll go but myself a paperback edition. My giant reading list cannot continue to fit my kindle LOL
Transcendence is one of my favourites of 2014, I hope you can get to it and see how it goes!

Ok, you two have me totally intrigued...I'd never heard of Transcendence, but based on what you've said about it I'm more than willing to spend $0.99 to maybe give it a shot!

Thanks so much for the picks Kathy. Unfortunately Magic Shifts (Kate Daniels, #8) by Ilona Andrews releases next year! :( I'm updated to the series. But there is an anthology coming out Night Shift (Kate Daniels, #7.5; SPI Files, # 0.5; Psy-Changeling) by Nalini Singh coming out Nov 25th. Otherwise I'm updated to the series. :)

I've been meaning to read Marked (Eternal Guardians, #1) by Elisabeth Naughton for a while now, so I'll probably pick it up. Not sure about the Maya Banks books though. Just not in the mood. I might pick up Good in Bed (Cannie Shapiro, #1) by Jennifer Weiner too. It sure sounds interesting.

But would you mind picking out a couple of light hearted contemporary books for me please!

Nan (xxmzsmilesxx) | 84 comments Hey ~Leslie~!
So I finished Mind Game Mind Game (GhostWalkers #2) by Christine Feehan and it feels so good to read a book written by season author that writes with flow and has control of her language. Lately I've been reading books from new authors and bless my soul! They have good story but some of the grammar/punctuation mistakes in there makes me turn into a Grammar Police.

Anyways I enjoyed reading it immensely - kickass heroine ✔, strong/poessessive/cold military man who only melts for his one and only ✔, action mingled with romance ✔! And the way he called her "kiciyapi mitawa", Lokotan for "my heart" just melts me!

The way I'm going this November, I feel like I may chow through your recs for me!
Next book Kiss of Midnight Kiss of Midnight (Midnight Breed, #1) by Lara Adrian here I come!

siriusedward (elenaraphael) so i started Archangel's Shadows (Guild Hunter, #7) by Nalini Singh by nalini singh.
as i expected i am loving it.ash and janvier are abslutely good.
for me i think after raphael and elena this pair comes next.
ash's story is really heartbreaking.
his wild windstorm of a lover.
as you see this is a ***** 5 star read fo me.
i esp. loved the glimpses of other characters.esp elena and her archangel.....
the legion bit was also good
the way she portrayed the healing of the city was also good
liked elena doing all the consort bit elena style.... full of heart and full of committment...
loved the way aphael accepts that yes Naasir will of course flirt with elena...cause she is fierce and wild and loving....
his love and confidence in her is just smashing
so is janviers and ash's full throttle living...his and her unspoken commitment and exchange of gifts...treasuring of gifts given by the other was "cher, just amazing"....
so....i am guessing you all understand its
******(5+ stars) for me....

Thanks a ton Kathy! I read Share the Moon by Sharon Struth . It was good. I don't usually read books where the protagonists are above 40, or rather I haven't had the chance to read such books. Considering the characters were older than the NA lot, they were a lot more mature. There was no unnecessary drama, but emotions were running a bit high in this book. Thanks so much for the pick!

message 297: by Sassafrass (new)

Sassafrass (sass-a-frass) | 4192 comments Hi MountainKat!

Ok...here are the great picks you've recommended for me this month:

Echoes of Scotland Street (On Dublin Street, #5) by Samantha Young Hard to Hold on To (Hard Ink, #2.5) by Laura Kaye It's in His Kiss (Lucky Harbor, #10) by Jill Shalvis Love a Little Sideways (Kowalski Family, #7) by Shannon Stacey Midnight Man (Midnight, #1) by Lisa Marie Rice Into the Crossfire (Protectors, #1) by Lisa Marie Rice Full Moon (Second Chances, #2) by Mari Carr Do Over by Mari Carr Shaken by Dee Tenorio Full Throttle (Fast Track, #7) by Erin McCarthy Cowboy Take Me Away (Rough Riders, #16) by Lorelei James Siren Reborn (Texas Sirens, #8) by Sophie Oak Back to Buckhorn (Buckhorn Brothers, #7) by Lori Foster

I've gotten to three of them so far this moth:

Hard to Hold on To (Hard Ink, #2.5) by Laura Kaye --I really enjoyed this story of struggle and redemption between Jenna and Easy. Why oh why couldn't have been longer. I really felt that there story was too rushed and that they DESERVED a full story, but what I got was really good. I'm glad to continue on with this series. These guys have truly grown on me.

Siren Reborn (Texas Sirens, #8) by Sophie Oak --This was Kitten's swan song. So beautifully written, I really helped ease the heartache from the glimpses we got of her trauma in the past. She was so much stronger than I ever gave her credit for and this book really highlighted that.

The story between Cole and Mason was very good as well. I knew who the killer was, but I didn't get the whole story. That was quite a surprise. This book was focused a lot more not he story than the sex although there was some great stuff in there. The relationship and the growth was so much more important here and that was what the focus was, thankfully.

I'm a sucker for M/M/F menage, but I'm sometimes left feeling like there's someone left out of the mix. I didn't feel that here. I think that Mason and Cole were strong, Cole and Kitten, were strong, and Mason and Kitten were as well. But when the three of them were together it was almost like magic. It just fit.

And at the end, when Kitten talked to Julian right before she went to go toward the rest of her life (I don't want to give too much away), that just made me bawl like a baby! What she said was so poignant that it just brought me to tears. If anyone deserved their HEA, it was her.

I'm sad to think that this series is coming to an end. But, if it were to, I love that it was that way with Kitten and her men, as well as the others in the gang pretty well settled.

It's in His Kiss (Lucky Harbor, #10) by Jill Shalvis --I loved Sam. He was so sweet. I really didn't have a good sense for him in the previous books, so it was great to get to really see him in this one. Becca was definitely his perfect match and I loved the way they complimented each other.

I was sad not to see more of the lucky harbor residents. I've really come to love them. But I guess when you start getting into so many book you have to start intro ducting new characters. I'm really not gong to complain about Cole and Tanner or Olivia. They really did bring a lot to the story. And of course, seeing "Pink" was good. What a sweetheart she is.

Overall, the story was great, and I was happy to see Sam and Becca get their HEA. I hope to see more of them in the next story.

I'm really going to try and get to most of these this month. I probably won't be able to read two LMR books but at least one of them. We'll see. On to the next!

I finished Sweet and Sour by Astrid Amara which both you and KyBunnies picked. The book description didn't really appeal to me - -cheaters are no fun, but I have really enjoyed every other book I've read by Astrid Amara which is why this ended up on my TBR.

I'm glad I did put it there. It didn't disappoint. 4 stars.

I also read BTW I Love You 3 stars and Nothing Special 4 stars - -I like Jay Northcote stories.

I bought Double Up, Laurel Heights 2, and Chasing the Dragon - -which isn't the same as reading it, but one step closer at least! I hope to read one of these this month.

Turns our I already read Always a Sinner so I may look at one of the other freebies in this series instead.

Thanks for these picks!
