I'm almost 90% done with THE SILENT CORNER by Dean Koontz. I can very much relate to the main character but the story is slow-moving. It's the first in a new series by Koontz.

I’m reading Cross Justice by Patterson after a light funny read of Fearless Fourteen by J. Evanovich. Was going to go on to House of Thunder (I haven’t read that one yet but I’ll try to borrow a copy of Face of Fear and read with the group. As I remember it’s a good ride.

I love Blake Crouch :-) I'm going to re-read Dark Matter soon.
I'm currently reading READY PLAYER ONE. Wanted to read the book before the movie is released & I'm glad I did. A really fun adventure for those of us who enjoy alternate realities, and really who doesn't?

I'm about to start A Wanted Man, by Lee Child. And I just finished Wuthering Heights, at least most of it.

Just finished last night. I really enjoyed it. I've read everything by Dan Brown and I thought this was one of his better novels actually. I would recommend it :-)

I enjoyed Origins as well...here's my ranking of the Robert Langdon novels from most to least enjoyed...1. Angels and Demons 2. Inferno 3. Davinci Code 4. Origins 5. The Lost Symbol. If my rankings of the other four Langdons are similar to yours, Barbara, this posting might help ya with your decision.
I'm reading The Bad place by Dean Koontz, then Phantoms by Dean Koontz. i get more reading in because it's snowing and our driveway is icy !😅

The Lost Symbol wasn't very good so I'd agree it's my least favorite Robert Langdon Novel.

Please consider joining us in March when we read Whispers and Winter Moon. I'm reading The Face of Fear right now.

Face of Fear was a great day and a half. Koontz books go quickly with me as I can’t put them down. Or if I do I may not be able to sleep so might as well keep going. I’m still sliding through Bill Clinton’s memoir southern style (slowly) because he and others say he’s long winded and that is very true. It’s interesting but compared to Koontz full tilt bogey pace it can be hard to change gears. I’d like to read a Jack Reacher novel after hearing someone mention Lee Child but I read they should be read in order if at all possible so I am trying to hold out for The Enemy. I have a Grisham and a Faye Kellerman and a Jodi Picoult awaiting me. I sure hope our library has switched out some titles. I was stuck in my favorite series’ and everyone seemed to need the same books. I gave it a rest.

I don't branch out very often from my favorite authors, but sometimes my local library introduces me to something new (or of course my friends on Goodreads & their high recommendation). :-)
Not really. The Reacher novels are designed to be read as stand-alone novels. They have to be, as some people cannot get the books in order.
Oh thank you Charles! Our apt library had an Evanovich and I’m going nicely through Grisham and really did a full reading day and also trekked through more of Bill’s Wonderful World. I LOVE all- reading days!!

I'm currently reading Snowbound by Blake Crouch. It's interesting because there is some similarity to Jane Hawk and the "Aspasia" houses.

what's your opinion? It looked really good but since it's only an ebook I'm not sure when I'll be experiencing it.

So far, it's okay. I've read 30% of it. But it's nothing special.

I just finished re-reading (or listening to)
and I have to say I enjoyed it more than the first time. I am currently listening to
Making my way through this series again.
I am reading Joe Hill's NOS4A2. Am super excited that I discovered while reading that AMC is procucing a series based on it. The show premiers April 30th. Oh...the book is great so far lol.

I'm currently reading Katherine Howe. With the exception of Conversion, I find the novels extremely intriguing with the mystical ways Howe connects the past to present.
Just Like Someone Without Mental Illness Only More So
Mark Vonnegut
Almost finished. Great read...Mark Vonnegut memoir --amazing life and challenges he has overcome. Mental illness is so common in his family that he really didn't even know he had real problems, although he saw it in others. Then he had a schizophrenic episode...and then another needing hospitalization. The book is a bit jumbled in the writing at times but you get used to it. He has had an amazing life, pursuing his dreams with tenacity--graduating from Harvard (after finally being accepted on the 19th application) and on to be a successful pediatrician. Some humor and honest self-scrutiny make this a memorable book.
And if you have ever read and liked Kurt Vonnegut books, you may or may not be surprised at remembrances of him.
I recommend this to anyone but it is definitely not in the genre of this group
I’m reading The Night Window....slowly cause I hate to finish Jane Hawk’s story!!! LolMatthew I’m excited that AMC has made Joe Hill’s NOS4A2 into a series too!! Thanks for posting that.....I didn’t know!!
I'm reading the Right Hand Of Darkness by John Saul, The Circle Series, 4 books in 1 by Ted Dekker, 1 Door Away From Heaven by Dean Koontz, listening to 3 audio teachings by Joyce Meyer and listening to the audiobook Woman Of God by James Patterson. I think that covers all I'm reading. Besides various daily devotionals that I switch up and The Bible which I read and study when I can sit down and concentrate and have time.
Hey everybody I just started dragon tears, it's freaking me out a little because I'm listening to the audiobook version. You don't truly understand one of Koontz books until you listen to an audiobook.
I'm rereading Watchers and loving going through it slowly since I know how it ends I can focus more on the journey. At the same I am half way through reading Jane Austen's Persuasion.
Currently reading Night Visions Hardshell. Has 3 short stories by Dean Koontz. Looks like it was published in the late 80’s. Kind of cool to read something from back when I first started to love his books!
I've just discovered the author, Jussi Adler-Olsen and his Department Q books. O. M. G. They are utterly amazing.; fantastic! It appears he's written seven books in this series. He's a Danish writer. It's not the typical Nordic noir, but in a class all its own. I'm on Book 3. I've ruined series books before by reading them all in a row really fast. I've tried my best not to keep reading these Department Q books so quickly but can't stop myself. So far, they just keep getting better and better.
