Buddy Read Requests

I'm a new GoodReads member, but I would like to do a buddy read!
I'm ok with any of the following books; (I plan to read them all at some point)
--Throne of Glass
--The Mortal Instruments
--The Infernal Devices
--Red Queen
--Rebel Belle
--A Court of Thorns and Roses
Anyone up for any of the above selections? ⭐️

The book link not working for me. Who's the author?"
xD Yeah, the link wasn't working. The author is Julie Kagawa.

I'd also be interested in doing one for either Rebel Belle, The Fifth Wave, or The Darkest Minds!
Maybe we should do Rebel Belle because Kat is also interested in doing that one?
When would work for you guys to start? I'm free pretty much any time this month EXCEPT for over the 25th-27th.

Yeah, Rebel Belle sounds good. I think I'll be free any time after two weeks from now.

I was going to start months ago on Throne of Glass, but for some reason I always end up reading something else, so if you're up to it, I'd love to do a buddy read.
Also if anyone is interested reading The Selection, I'd love to join in.

I'm in the mood for a romance YA novel :)

Wednesday is good! :)
September 9th, correct? :)

Good :)
How's September 18th sound? (Hope that's not too long!)
The EARLIEST I can do is September 14th! :)
Anything between those two dates is fine :)
Whatever is the most comfortable for you!

I would like to have someone to read Spring Snow with me by Yukio Mishima. I would like a person or persons who are willing to read it and discuss it by sections instead ..."
Joanne - Did you read this already? I would be willing to read this in sections if the pace isn't too fast. My reading availability isn't as much as I like and I have many nights that I just don't get much reading time.

I started this a few months ago and absolutely feel in love with it. It was a library rental, which ended, so I did buy the book. However I haven't finished reading. I'm just about 25% into the book.

Sorry, I'm new to all this, haha

Let me know if you need threads for other books too ☺

So...a buddy would be most helpful. I have a real-life friend who wants me to read them, but she's in Texas while I live in Arizona, so her prodding me to read them is problematic (and she's not on Goodreads).
So again...a buddy would be lovely. Anyone?
I hope to start the books in a week or two and read them back to back over what will likely be no more than a week or two. If anybody is willing to hang out in a discussion with me (and to encourage me to keep reading when I hit the stumbling block in book six), I'd be most grateful.
Please?

Hi Jen
I have already started re-reading these via audio (Stephen Fry narration) and my husband is currently listening to them too (he just started book 3) so if you don't mind that I'm ahead right now I'm happy to join you. I'm part way through book 6, but I have a newborn so I am reading slowly and can wait for you before starting book 7 - and happy to discuss the others as you finish them.

That would be great! I don't mind talking about books with someone reading at a different pace. (I'm real good at using spoiler tags.) So I would love to read with you, especially if you use spoiler tags, too, and comment on anything you feel like commenting on as things strike you. ;-)
And congrats on your newborn! How exciting! :-)

Congratulations Karen. Wow, have you had that baby already. I remember you talking about expecting on the last Tower Teams and here we are with Tower Teams IV and you with your new baby. All the very best.

Thanks Jen!
We started a buddy read of the series last year, so maybe we just use those threads and then perhaps others will chime in too. Everyone was pretty good at using spoiler tags :)

Thanks Lisa! He is 10 days old today so we are still in newborn mode, but it is much easier second time around ;)

Just saw this. Not sure if you are still reading the series, but as above Jen and I are re-reading this month

Wow! Just 10 days old? I bet that makes for fun times at your house. Hopefully in a good way!

Sounds like a plan! I will definitely check out that thread once I'm able to start reading the series. Thanks!

Yes, this is my one hour a day that I'm not feeding or sleeping so I was able to catch up on my GR and emails ;)
Now off to make my 3 year old lunch...
xD

I need some motivation to start
and
The Great Zoo of China
<-- edit ; finished!
which I need to read and review for Netgalley. I'm not sure why I keep putting them off. Any takers for a buddy read?

Sure Christina, I'm pretty flexible with dates! Or we could start nov 7 and have it count for tower teams if you're ok to wait an extra week? ;)

That's fine - I'm happy to wait. It's already been sitting on my kindle for a few months :)
I'll start a thread for 21 Nov then? Will give me a chance to review the old thread from book 1 to remind me of all the characters and where it ended ;)

There is group reading 1st one at the moment, so they might continue when done.
