xD Yeah, the link wasn't working. The author is Julie Kagawa.

I'd also be interested in doing one for either Rebel Belle, The Fifth Wave, or The Darkest Minds!
Maybe we should do Rebel Belle because Kat is also interested in doing that one?
When would work for you guys to start? I'm free pretty much any time this month EXCEPT for over the 25th-27th.

message 2406: by Kat (new)

Kat ⭐️ | 19 comments I'm free pretty much everyday except for weekends

Yeah, Rebel Belle sounds good. I think I'll be free any time after two weeks from now.

I was going to start months ago on Throne of Glass, but for some reason I always end up reading something else, so if you're up to it, I'd love to do a buddy read.

Also if anyone is interested reading The Selection, I'd love to join in.

message 2410: by Kat (new)

Kat ⭐️ | 19 comments Anyone want to read All The Light We Cannot See, Eleanor & Park, The Distance Between Us, or A Thousand Pieces of You with me?
I'm in the mood for a romance YA novel :)

message 2411: by Emily (new)

Emily Kelsall (emilythebooknerd) | 1388 comments I might be interested in Eleanor & Park or A Thousand Pieces of You. When were you thinking?

message 2412: by Kat (new)

Kat ⭐️ | 19 comments Whichever! I'm planning on reading them both, so you can choose :)

message 2413: by Tonya (new)

Tonya | 256 comments I would be interested in All the Light We Cannot See!

message 2414: by Kat (new)

Kat ⭐️ | 19 comments Awesome! When can we start? :)

message 2415: by Tonya (new)

Tonya | 256 comments I already have a copy and I should have the book I'm currently reading finished in a couple more days. Would Wednesday work for you? :)

message 2416: by Kat (new)

Kat ⭐️ | 19 comments Well I'm currently reading A Game of Thrones, and at the pace I'm going, it would take maybe a week or two for me to finish, but I understand completely if thats too much. (I need a break anyways, haha.)
Wednesday is good! :)
September 9th, correct? :)

message 2417: by Kat (new)

Kat ⭐️ | 19 comments I should be finished with my book between Saturday, September 12 and Saturday, September 19. :)

message 2418: by Tonya (new)

Tonya | 256 comments Oh totally up to you! I could wait another week and be okay with it, I have plenty of books I could pick up if I finish mine quickly - I'll just avoid the super long ones, lol! Pushing it out another week would be a-okay!

message 2419: by Kat (new)

Kat ⭐️ | 19 comments Ah, ok!
Good :)
How's September 18th sound? (Hope that's not too long!)
The EARLIEST I can do is September 14th! :)
Anything between those two dates is fine :)
Whatever is the most comfortable for you!

Joanne - Did you read this already? I would be willing to read this in sections if the pace isn't too fast. My reading availability isn't as much as I like and I have many nights that I just don't get much reading time.

Plethora (bookworm_r) | 2239 comments Tonya wrote: "I would be interested in All the Light We Cannot See!"

I started this a few months ago and absolutely feel in love with it. It was a library rental, which ended, so I did buy the book. However I haven't finished reading. I'm just about 25% into the book.

message 2422: by Tonya (new)

Tonya | 256 comments Let's do the 18th then!

message 2423: by Kat (new)

Kat ⭐️ | 19 comments Ok!
So
'All The Light We Cannot See' starting September 18th?

message 2424: by Tonya (new)

Tonya | 256 comments I am looking forward to it!

message 2425: by Kat (new)

Kat ⭐️ | 19 comments Yay! Um, so will the mods make a thread for it then? Do we have to message them or...?
Sorry, I'm new to all this, haha

message 2429: by Jen (new)

Jen (reader44ever) | 2930 comments Is anyone interested in doing a buddy read of the Harry Potter series? I've read books one through six before (over 10 years ago now) but I stalled on reading book seven because of what happens to a certain beloved character in book six. I keep waiting for the day to arrive when I'll "feel ready" to read book seven, but I'm still waiting and likely to go on waiting forever.

So...a buddy would be most helpful. I have a real-life friend who wants me to read them, but she's in Texas while I live in Arizona, so her prodding me to read them is problematic (and she's not on Goodreads).

So again...a buddy would be lovely. Anyone?

I hope to start the books in a week or two and read them back to back over what will likely be no more than a week or two. If anybody is willing to hang out in a discussion with me (and to encourage me to keep reading when I hit the stumbling block in book six), I'd be most grateful.

Please?

Hi Jen

I have already started re-reading these via audio (Stephen Fry narration) and my husband is currently listening to them too (he just started book 3) so if you don't mind that I'm ahead right now I'm happy to join you. I'm part way through book 6, but I have a newborn so I am reading slowly and can wait for you before starting book 7 - and happy to discuss the others as you finish them.

That would be great! I don't mind talking about books with someone reading at a different pace. (I'm real good at using spoiler tags.) So I would love to read with you, especially if you use spoiler tags, too, and comment on anything you feel like commenting on as things strike you. ;-)

And congrats on your newborn! How exciting! :-)

Congratulations Karen. Wow, have you had that baby already. I remember you talking about expecting on the last Tower Teams and here we are with Tower Teams IV and you with your new baby. All the very best.

Thanks Jen!
We started a buddy read of the series last year, so maybe we just use those threads and then perhaps others will chime in too. Everyone was pretty good at using spoiler tags :)

I need some motivation to start
Lair of Dreams (The Diviners, #2) by Libba Bray
and
The Great Zoo of China <-- edit ; finished!

which I need to read and review for Netgalley. I'm not sure why I keep putting them off. Any takers for a buddy read?

message 2440: by Christina (new)

Christina Pilkington | 198 comments Karen, I've been dying to read Lair of Dreams! I have it in my shelf right now. I really have to finish two other books before that, besides the one I'm reading now, for group/buddy reads first. Is there any way you could start it on Nov 1st?

message 2441: by Karen ⊰✿, Fiction Aficionado (new)

Karen ⊰✿ | 16602 comments Mod
Sure Christina, I'm pretty flexible with dates! Or we could start nov 7 and have it count for tower teams if you're ok to wait an extra week? ;)

message 2442: by Christina (new)

Christina Pilkington | 198 comments I'm going away for a two week trip to California with my husband and kids from Nov 7-20. I'm going to be bringing books to read, and I could read it while I'm gone, I just don't know how much time I'll have to be online. Is it possible for anytime after that? If you're dying to read it and find someone else, please start ahead of me! I can always pipe in on the thread when I get to it.

That's fine - I'm happy to wait. It's already been sitting on my kindle for a few months :)
I'll start a thread for 21 Nov then? Will give me a chance to review the old thread from book 1 to remind me of all the characters and where it ended ;)

message 2444: by Christina (new)

Christina Pilkington | 198 comments Sounds good! I think I'll need to review that thread, too :)
