I separated the paperback in order to combine and merge it: it had no discerning it from the other paperback details. And now I don't see it in the combine page.

Thank you! That reminds me that I had another issue like this bookmarked somewhere (I hadn't separated there, just corrected the author, but still couldn't combine, so I didn't take it very seriously), I'll post it if it's still persisting :)

Can this be fixed?

Yes Little, technically you could've done the combine, however, it would have been challenging for a newer librarian.

You needed to change the author name, then change the title of one of the books so they would show up on the same combine page, then once combined you would need to change the title back to the original name.

Do a few easier combines and you'll get the hang of it :)

There is obviously a bug in the system somewhere.

Sandra | 31440 comments Little, you can use any word even your name, but if you do that you need to change both titles. Sometimes I put my name in front of the titles, then at the end I only need to remove my name from them. Or you can add a significant word from one of the titles.

You then put the word in the filter box at the top right of the combine page.

You only need to do this when there is more than 1 combine page and your target books aren't on the same page. It generally doesn't happen that often, unless you are working on really prolific authors or classics with lots of editions.

I think the 9 editions grouped together here should probably be added to the 300+ editions grouped together here. The only difference seems to be that the 9 editions are entered under Baroness Orczy (presumably because that's what it said on the item), while the others are under Emmuska Orczy, who is the same person.
