Lawrence Ambrose (ambrose2014) | 50 comments Well, I like Anita Blake and Kelly Armstrong, for whatever that's worth, and I have written a series that is about to be seven novels long. I don't use vampires, but there are (sort of) witches, dragons; no werewolves, but something called a "winged wolf" in the third and sixth books. http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00LLLVL0U Rated NA - Adult.

Kelleigh (goodreadscomsunshine2047) you MUST read the Fever Series by Karen Marie Moning - it's amazing....

I also recommend the Night Huntress Series by Jeaniene Frost and the Rachel Morgan series by Kim Harrison. Promise you won't be disappointed!

I like Kim Harrison's Hollows urban fantasy series. Not only is the heroine in every single book, but so are her vampire-best-friend and pixie-sidekick, including some interesting side-stories on the sidekicks that you usually don't see in most series.

Dead Witch Walking (The Hollows, #1) by Kim Harrison The Good, the Bad, and the Undead (The Hollows, #2) by Kim Harrison Every Which Way But Dead (The Hollows, #3) by Kim Harrison A Fistful of Charms (The Hollows, #4) by Kim Harrison For a Few Demons More (The Hollows, #5) by Kim Harrison The Outlaw Demon Wails (The Hollows, #6) by Kim Harrison White Witch, Black Curse (The Hollows, #7) by Kim Harrison Black Magic Sanction (The Hollows, #8) by Kim Harrison Pale Demon (The Hollows, #9) by Kim Harrison A Perfect Blood (The Hollows, #10) by Kim Harrison Ever After (The Hollows, #11) by Kim Harrison The Undead Pool (The Hollows, #12) by Kim Harrison

That should keep you busy for a while :-)

Megan (megandurrence) | 8 comments You can try The Morganville Vampires. It's an awesome series! Also, My Wolf's Bane is a good werewolf/shifter series. There's only two books out, but there's a prequel and a few side stories. Really good!

✘✘ Sarah ✘✘ (former Nefarious Breeder of Murderous Crustaceans) (oosarahoo) The Descent series by S.M. Reine (7 books) is pretty fantastic, with a great kick-butt heroine!

Death's Hand (Descent, #1) by S.M. Reine

Nicholette Campbell (lovingmylife-goodreadscom) | 12 comments J.R. Ward, the Black Dagger Brotherhood Novels. She has like 13-14 books in the series. All about Vampires. It's a great series but a little adult on some of them.

Katie (kgiffin123) | 3 comments Have you read the Violet Eden chapters? They are amazing. Also the Tigers Curse saga is good.

message 17: by R.M. (new)

R.M. Webb | 11 comments Well, I'll have to add quite a few of these to my "To Be Read" shelf. I'm always on the lookout for new books!

With that said, you might want to try my book: Facade A Vampire Love Story (Immortal Memories, #1) by R.M. Webb

It's the first book in a series of at least three. I'm writing the second book now, which might be a turn off. BUT! I'm very active with my readers and have a sign up for my mailing list in the back of the book. I run contests that allow readers to name new characters, or pick the color of a character's hair, or suggest a cool place for my characters to visit. I'll also be handing out ARC's and offering special discount prices through the mailing list.

Long and short of it is, if you like the idea of seeing your suggestion come to light in a new book, now might be the time to get into the series.

Other than that, I enjoyed the first couple Sookie Stackhouse books, although I was surprised to find they were quite explicit. However, the series quickly lost it's appeal for me and I didn't finish.

message 18: by Loren (new)

Loren Beeson (lorenbeesonbooks) The Night Huntress novels by Jeanine Frost are amazing! Badass vampire fighting chick meets one sexy ass vampire and her whole world gets turned upside down! Haha they are the main characters and the series is six or seven books long!

Dawn Whidden (dawn71753) | 2 comments Lorraine Carey is excellent. Jonathan's Locket and Mysteries of the Red Coyote Inn. She has a new one coming out soon.. Love the way she writes. It's the type of books you just don't want to put down and then when you are getting to the end you don't want to finish. I felt the same way about the Hungar Games but these books are a bit lighter and are great for a quick read!~Lorraine Carey
