Hey, Alison and Cathy. I'm excited to hang out with you, read, and chat. I think participating in SS this way will be fun.

I'll be rolling the dice at midnight, which is only 10:00 pm my time.
Are you happy with our thread's name? Denise might let us change it. Maybe the Back-up Players' Lounge. Or The Reserves Hideout. Reinforcements 'R' Us. Something along those lines.

Those all would be fun.

No favorite that really jumps out at me. But I do like that one.
Just wish we had a backwards R, maybe Reinforcements ® Us??? No, it is not as good.
Found it!
Reinforcements Я Us
But you know I think I like it better as
Reinforcements 'R' Us
So just ignore my stream of thought! 🙉🙈🙊👌

I rolled a 2 and a 5.

I love the Reinforcements 'R' Us team name.
I have a book that will qualify for the #7 in series.
When do we start? Do we need to do selection posts?

BUT, it is still on hold, so may have to change that up.
Fingers Crossed!

I'm glad you found a book already. You can start as soon as I've rolled. I think making a selection post is a good habit to have.

Review: This is a good installment to the series. The guy and the girl are progressing in their romance. (So are two other couples :) Mary has plenty of help solving this crime. There is some closure as well as new leads for the next book. One thing did bother me. (view spoiler) ["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>

How it fits: 7th Book in the Black Dagger Brotherhood Series
Review,
Been reading the Black Dagger Brotherhood series for my Stack the series challenge.
I have really enjoyed the writing of JR Ward. Her characters have such depth.
I have loved all the books so far in the series. In this book Rehvenge has been struggling to keep his distance from the Brothers because of his secrets.
There is so much going on in the storyline that at times I had to stop to make sure I knew who was who and what they were doing.
Very exciting read. Looking forward to the next book in the series. Thank goodness there are a few of them.

Just poppin' in to say hi. Gonna start playing along from here until a team opens up. :)
I noticed a team doing selection posts as well as the review posts. Should we do that here as well?
Welcome, Cyndee and Wolf. It will be nice to have some company.
Cyndee wrote: "I noticed a team doing selection posts as well as the review posts. Should we do that here as well?"
It's not mandatory, but Denise and I thought it would be a good way for the stand-by players to keep up with the game. If you've read something this week that matches the roll, you are welcome to post the book. If not, then you can start with Friday's (well, midnight Thursday's) roll.

Thanks! One more clarification (because you mentioned the roll is midnight Thursday), the rules thread says: Reviews are due at the latest by end of day on Friday - 23.59pm Central Time. So the roll is Thursday midnight but the reviews aren't due until Friday by midnight? But we aren't supposed to roll until everyone's reviews are posted?
Sorry for the confusion, I just want to be certain I've got my timing right.

If you were part of a regular team, you would be correct. You can't roll until all the reviews are in and complete.
Many Team Captains ask that all reviews be in by Thursday night so that s/he can roll as early as possible. A lot of folk like to get a head start on the next week's book.
But here on this thread, we're a bit more relaxed. We're playing just for fun. For myself, I do like to follow the rules.

I tend to be a rule follower myself so just wanted to make sure I had it straight. :) Thank you!
I'll definitely have something in for this weeks roll by tomorrow night (if nothing else, that standalone option this week makes it a little easier to jump right in!).

Review: YA book in which teenage Grace, who was adopted as an infant, goes in search of her biological mother after giving up her own baby for adoption and finds out that she also has a biological brother and sister. Her older brother has spent his life in the foster care system and her younger sister was adopted by a couple who found out they were pregnant just 3 months after her adoption was final and spends her life surrounded by three people who look identical to each other but look nothing like her. The book is all about these teens' personal relationships with their families, their love interests, each other, and themselves. It is a beautiful, youth-centered examination into what it really means to be a family and the value we place on ourselves.
