Ah, my dear, I do have a plan, despite my teasing. I am waiting for the toppler madness to be over and all will be revealed!
P.S just schedule me in 500pp or so to be safe ;)

Wow thats alot of reading. I do about 1 book a week

Dark Places is a favourite read of mine. It is dark, so be prepared.

As for November's challenge, Madame Tutti Fruiti predicts that Rusalka will produce her usual magic and present us with a fabulous challenge sometime before the end of the toppler.
A bigger question is, how is Janice going to come up with some twist to turn us all into killers for the 2015 challenge?
For those of you reading all 5 books that went into the fruit machine, once you've read the first book, you have completed the challenge. The monthly challenges are always for 1 book. The other 4 are just gravy. So don't panic if you can't finish all 5 books.P.S... Madame Tutti Fruiti made her prediction re: the Nov challenge before reading msg 53. Honest.

Yes I just started read a few chapters seems like i will enjoy it

Janice wrote: "For those of you reading all 5 books that went into the fruit machine, once you've read the first book, you have completed the challenge. The monthly challenges are always for 1 book. The other 4..."What?! You mean I've been putting off starting the second book in the Jenny Pox series, Tommy Nightmare, until after finishing Fate (which I'm not really enjoying ) and I didn't have to?! Oy vey....
Now I have to decisions to make...
1. Finish Fate and try to make Tommy fit into the toppler (which it totally will).
2. Shelve Fate and start Tommy now.
3. Skip Fate and wait to start Tommy for the toppler (which means nothing to read until Saturday eek!).
Decisions, decisions! LOL. Okay, I really have to go back to work now. I can see I have to give this all some thought and also decide if I want to go ahead and commit to a third book for the toppler before finishing the first. I can probably read Tommy & Golden's Quest both in text, but who knows if I'll get a third roll I can even use... Oh geez! Okay, I'm going back to my work now.... I'll think about books later. Seriously, I have a job I must do. I'm getting paid for this job, not to try to decide which books to read next. Work, yes, I'm going back to work now!
*mentally grumbling about needing to make final decisions for the toppler while pressing "post" and closing the GoodReads window*
@I read Storm Front. It was OK. More a classic detective storie with fantasy elements than a Fantasy book itself
@Camilla - go ahead and read all 5 books as your personal challenge. You'll still get a badge if you only read one. @Kim - you're probably half way through Fate, right? I would finish it and get to know Tommy during the toppler if it was me and I didn't have anything to read between now and the toppler.
@Sharon and Mariab, will you continue on in your respective series? The next book in the Dresden series has a bit more fantasy elements (in my opinion).
Madame Tutti Fruiti, I finished The Vampire Lestat and really enjoyed it! I was sad to come to the end. I've already placed a library hold on The Queen of the Damned, the next book in the series.
Thanks for choosing this one for me!
Glad to hear that the first book is the one that counts. In that case, I've completed the challenge with The Outlander. It seems to have mixed reviews but I enjoyed it. The writing at times though was a bit too descriptive for me but overall well-done. I'm still going to finish all 5 as my personal challenge for the month. :)
Madame Tutti-Frutti, your gifts truly are undeniable, but forgive me if I do not wish for The Girl with All the Gifts to truly be your autobiography. That would spell disaster for us all, I'm afraid. Some gifts should not be opened - just ask Pandora.
Does that mean you've finished the book, Melissa? If that one isn't suitable as my autobiography, Outlander has possibilities, but Queen of the Damned is more likely. :)

No, I don't think I'll continue with the series. I have other things I want to read more.
That's the way I felt about that book too, Sharon. I enjoyed it, but didn't have enough interest to continue.
@JaniceIf you say so, I ll give it a tray. Perhaps I a little odd in this point of view, but I dont like clichés in detective books anymore. I think I have read to much of them in my youth (and from the genre master no less)
Janice wrote: "Does that mean you've finished the book, Melissa? It wasn't a bad book, but I think you are better off with a different biography.
Melissa wrote: "Yes, I did finish it Janice. I would not wish any of it on you. It wasn't a bad book, but I think you are better off with a different biography..."Queen of the Damned it is. LOL! (ps, I love that movie.)

Someday I am going to have to read your life story! :)
Poor vampire, in his steel coffin (Teräsarkku)he could be heard turning and tossing
LOL, this book had absolutely nothing to do with vampires (it was a thriller), but it seems that coffins remind me of vampires for some obscure reason.
Indeed the master of crows would be a true master, since Crow, in the Medicine Wheel, is the keeper of sacred law. So saith Madame Tutti Fruiti!*adds to wishlist*
Madame Tutti Frutti, I finished The Secret Garden and what a wonderful book! I wish I've read it when I was a child, I would probably have enjoyed it even more. Thank you for choosing this book, I gave it 4 stars.

The magic is always there, no matter how old you are when you read it for the first time. :)

My updates are found here: (hopefully this link works for more than just me!) Sooo glad I joined this group this month!
The pirates were attempting to cross fate and steal you away from us. But you're back and have 2 books down! Super!BTW, when you are done, you may want to take a screen shot of your challenge page because in a couple of months, the challenges get deleted.
Hey finished my book Interview with the Vampire it was really good especially during October. Can't wait to read the rest in the series. Thanks for the suggestion
Sue Q wrote: "Janice wrote: "For those of you reading all 5 books that went into the fruit machine, once you've read the first book, you have completed the challenge. I read three of the five not-selected books before I got to MTF's choice for me. Thank goodness her prediction didn't come true. I'm not Mistress Of Nothing, but I did finish the book.
Cherie wrote: "I am glad you liked TSG, Erica. It has always been on of my favorite books. I have read it many times over the years. I'm so happy that I finally read it and found out why everyone loves it so much. It is a great book for both children and adults.
Kirila wrote: "Death Comes as the End => there were a lot of ends in that one."And now you have reached the end.
I finished reading the last of my 5 books that Madame TF had the fruit machine put in order. They are:Lord Stannington's Secret - 10/3/14 ***
Rogue's Honor - 10/3/14 ***
Lady Eugenia's Holiday - 10/6/14 **
Dominic - 10/6/14 ***
A Certain Want of Reason - 10/25 /14 ****
No one has probably noticed, but all of the books are regency romances with masks on the cover. The fruit machine saved the best for last, and I won't be reading Lady Eugenia's Holiday again. Too racy for me.
Thanks again, Madame.
I'm going to copy and paste my prediction here, because I keep losing it.It was revealed to me that you live in a Sacred Country where Crime and Punishment is taken very seriously. The spirit of Jane Eyre spoke of the danger of Pride and Prejudice. If you are convicted of that felony, you will be one of the Faces in the Water, bobbing for apples come Hallowe'en.
I haven't read any yet. I have this week off work, because it's half term, so I may possibly be able to read them all. Or if not, I'll just read the first one. I'm going to finish my Toppler reads first, even though I can't get points for them any more. I could have used some of the Tutti Fruiti books as Toppler reads, now I think of it, but I didn't because I thought that might make me read them out of order!
I read The Girl Who Fell From The Sky and loved it.Here is my review https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
Finished The Dead in Their Vaulted Arches just in the nick of time once again. I have got to stop pretending that I have all the time in the world for the monthly challenges!Almeta's Vaulted Arches Review
I'm not sure if I already have reported my read books here. Until now I've read the first 3 books Madame TF has picked. I'm still reading the 4th, but a Toppler came in between ;). I'm not sure if I will be able to read the 5th, since I want to start The Woman in White after this. Well, 4 out of 5 isn't bad, I think! My reviews of the first 3:

Umm, I would say about 4 books per week. I have set my GR challenge for this year to 200 books and I've read 161 so far, so right on track, may even go a few books over.
