Gluten for Punishment, by Nancy J. Parra
The main character, Toni, has celiac disease and owns a gluten-free bakery and catering business to serve others with celiac disease, Aspergers, autism, and others who have gluten-free dietary needs. Much of the book takes place in the bakery and includes discussions about what "gluten-free", "celiac", etc. means and several characters need these products. The first person murdered was protesting because he felt the bakery hurt wheat farmers.
