Marie Claude (mariecg2001) | 1030 comments We were away only for the day, it was my daugter's birthday this week and we decided to make a day-trip to Montreal today. It was fun, we had great food, I found a couple of books I wanted and bought my daughter her birthday gift (she's 22 and at university, so gift is now "buy what you want up to that amount" LOL)...

I couldn't read as much as I wanted this week before she was home and felt a little lonely... so instead of reading I spent as much time as I could with her, which meant no transportation time (I usually take the bus, but she kept the car and drove me home after work) to read, and no quiet time while cooking... But she will go back to school tomorrow and won't be back home before Christmas, so it was time to enjoy her presence :) I will read next week LOL Sad the Toppler is already over... ;o)

But wow, what a great toppler. My only regret is maybe for anyone who read a book they didn't enjoy just to help out their team. I know t..."

I read books I was planning to read someday, so even though Slaughterhouse-Five was really not my favoite book of the year, I would have experienced it someday ;o)

I am amazed at the number of books some of you have managed to read during the week! Even in a great week I don't think I could manage more than 6 or 7...

Congratulations all! and thank you Gail for the spreadsheet it was helpful and nice to see the progress :)

Tejas Janet (tejasjanet) | 3513 comments Six books in a week is a big deal for me, for sure.

I have mixed feelings about Slaughterhouse-Five. I love this book, but I came to it early in life before adulthood.

Not sure what I'd think about it coming to it as an adult now.

But I stand my high rating.
