Got it. Thanks! :)

You might want to look at books by Diana Abu-Jaber.

Oh, I hadn't thought about that! Let's just ask Jmom?

Thanks! I was just going through all the previous questions and answers, but I couldn't find anything about this. So we'll just have to wait.

But that second task stays in round 4, does it not?

I see what you mean by it being confusing Gail. Do you think it would help if you put in what round the assigned person is reading it for??
So in this case putting (round 3) under Pragya's name in the round 4 section??
Only if you think it helps you though! :)

For instance, someone could only do two rounds, but if their second book was swapped with someone's book in the sixth round, their name would be on Round 1 and round 6, but for that person, it is still Round 1 and Round 2, because they haven't done 6 rounds.

Dawn, yes, lol!

Well, vampires aren't my first choice but I have a couple of books lying ..."
I'd offer you my tasks from round 1 or 2, but it seems like there's more than enough chaos at the moment. I'm still confused about some of the basic rules, like swapping after you've picked out and declared a book for a task. I know you can change books at will, but can you change your mind about keeping or swapping the task??

Book I'm reading in Round One -- The Paris Wife, not The Paris Life. Also, in Round One my board number should be 36, not 9, per Jmom.
For Round Three - I rolled a 10. That puts me on square 25. Task = Read a science fiction fantasy book. I've tentatively picked Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency

I haven't read anything specific but I think it makes sense to say it's possible to put your task up for trade anytime.
You know what it's like with rulings on tasks that suddenly make the book you picked ineligible, if you can find someone to trade with would be the important part.
Wanting a task back would probably just be rude but if the other person agrees then I can't see an issue with that either.

So this will be the new swap:
My 'nutty as a fruitcake' (round 3) goes to Rebecca and her vampire-book from round 4 goes to me.
For that I want to read: Where Secrets Lie. And my YA book from the first round I want to change in: Wicked Hunger (because I'm reading it for another challenge as well...).

I am going to read

I will update the spreadsheet now.

Gail, it looks like you missed my update from message 76. Here it is again. Thanks : )

Yes, exactly. I think I reported that but we have so much reporting going on it's hard to get every little thing. Thank you so much for keeping the lovely spreadsheet!

Yes, exactly. I think I repo..."
I'm thinking about rolling for a 4th book. In my 3rd round I ended up in jail (#30). Team 4 sent me to do #3. Do I understand it correctly that I add my roll to 30 - since that is where I ended up on my own? (Or do I add it to 3, since that is where team 4 sent me?)

Yes, and it means that my name is not on round 3 (only as someone who rolled, not assigned) and when I get around to round 4 it probably will mean my name will appear twice.
I understand how it works, but I also understand that it looks very confusing :)...

That is what makes the preparations so much fun!!!
For another bookgroup today started a Read-a-thon. It is not half as much fun, since you can just read whatever you want and there are no teams. (I'm not as motivated as I was for our june-toppler and as I am for this toppler!)...
