Not all books on the unclaimed page belong to the Goodreads Author. The ones that do should be individually edited, which can be done by any librarian. Start a new thread in this folder if you need assistance.

No, they did not from what I have seen, just saw that the only book under the 1st profile had the other name attached, and the 2nd book in the series was only released under the other name.
Guess we can leave it alone for now.

I asked the author, and they said yes they would like them merged, they did not think it could be done.

It's really pushing the edge on our policy, but since the author requests and it is technically within the contained-within guideline, we're allowing it.

This is a weird one. It looks like from some quick checking that the author has only had 2 books. Moved the 2nd book to the claimed profile.On the other hand all the Author Profile data for the Claimed Author is under the non-claimed profile. So, it looks like the data should be moved to the claimed or they need merged then the other books split off.

The first edition of the authors first book A Silent Prayer was published under "Sam A.". She then decided to change her author name to Samreen Ahsan and wanted to change the first cover to match her new ID which was not allowed.

There have been many revisions to the author on that book and many reversals of those changes (usually by me). I've readded Sam A. to that first edition as the secondary author although I feel it should be primary author on all editions since that first edition was a proper edition and NOT an ARC. It is a pain in the neck when policies (or their application) change without warning making previous work pointless and librarians look like fools or timewasters.

Merging them would not move the photo or the blog. I removed the photo (which didn't really have adequate copyright proof provided anyway) and other items from the unclaimed profile. I'm leaving the blog unless the author requests the move, because moving it will lose all views, likes, and comments.

GR author has extra spaces, while there is only one author with that name.
