I liked "Her Fearful Symmetry". Thought it was different.

You could try The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern. The twins do not start out as the main characters but they do become the main characters as the story moves forward. Here is my review if you want to get an idea of what it is about.Laura

Angela Sunshine wrote: "My new favorite twin book is Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell."I think I'm going to add that to my TBR list. I recently finished Eleanor and Park by her, and I loved that book.
Christine wrote: "Surprised not one person mentioned "Cutting for Stone" by Abraham Verghese. Def a page turner!I loved this book too Christine!
Becky wrote: "One of my all time favorites: I Know This Much Is True by Wally Lamb. Very much about the relationship between twins... especially when one of them is mentally ill. I lo..."I was just going to post this title when I decided to look back. I loved this book and think it's one of the best about twins. Unfortunately, I read We Are Water recently and was very disappointed.
It was amazing Paula. I actually cried at points of the book, such a sap! lol. I'm reading I Know This Much Is True right now and am sucked in already. : )
I don't believe this one's been mentioned yet. Half Life is about a world where atomic bomb testing has caused an increasing number of conjoined twins to be born into the world. It's told from the perspective of a conjoined twin who wants to kill her sister. It's pretty excellent.
I've been searching my brain....There are no twins in Dickens? I can't think of any. Yet it seems he did everything....Shelley

I have "I Know This Much is True" in my stacks so need to get to it soon. I've heard good things about it also. Glad you're enjoying it.
I used twins in Surviving the Fog. I need them to pull a switch on some Army officers. I think if an author is going to include twins, they need to show the differences between the two.
My last post was not intended as self-promotion. I was answering the question of books about twins. Sorry, but the group rules box doesn't have a link for sending a message. :(
A very interesting nonfiction book about twins is "The Lives and Loves of Daisy and Violet Hilton: A True Story of Conjoined Twins
I have to second both Her Fearful Symmetry and Fangirl, two very different types of books but very much about twins. HFS is about two sets, so double trouble. ;)
I started this book years ago about twins, but I'm not sure if your only looking for female twins? And i believe that only one of the twins is a main character, though her brother is still a big part of the book. For the life of me, i can't remember the name of the book or much about it really. I think i only got half way through chapter one before i got distracted.
It was about a dystopian world where radiation caused everyone to be born with twins. There's the light twin. Born perfect. No deformities. Than the dark twin. Something about them is wrong and they are sent away to live with others like them so they don't taint their better half. Its believed that the dark twin absorbed all the darkness from their twin before their born, leaving their better half to have a good life.
I don't think i explained the book right, but its been years and i didn't read far into it. Hopefully someone will know what I'm talking about because its driving me crazy.
The Ice Twins :) Their parents are the ones who tell the story, but the girls are the center of the plot :)
Laura wrote: "Sisterland is a book about psychic twins. I have it on my TBR list so I can't say how good it is, but I heard about it on NPR and it sounded quite interesting ..."I enjoyed Sisterland very much and gave it 5 stars. I still think about it sometimes. Some interesting themes!
