This is a very fast read. I'm over half way done.
I did my DQs for the second section. Hopefully, I'll be good and wait patiently for the rest of you.

LOL everyone seem having fun reading it. I read it a few days ago, so it's a bit hazy, I hope the DQs are fine and here we goJune DQs for ch. 1-6
1. What was your first impression on Izzy and Ransom? What do you think about their first meeting?
2. So we got Ransom, our wounded and brooding hero. Any wild guess about his back story? What and whom he's hiding from? And how come Lord
Lynforth willed the castle to Izzy if it was Ransom's. I smelled foul play here. Comment?
3. Oh Snowdrop! I didn't expected that. Poor Ransom! LOL. I think its cute and very likely that an admirer gave a gift for someone he admire, although I think a weasel might not be practical choice. Izzy seem to have large fanbase :D

4. “There’s a rule about sunsets in this castle, Miss Goodnight.”
“There is?”
“Yes.” He turned her to face him. “And a man and a woman standing in this very place are compelled to heed it. No choice. There’s only one thing to be done.”
“What’s that?”
Her pulse stumbled. Surely he couldn’t mean to . . .
He lowered his head and made his voice a seductive whisper. “Duck.”
I thought he was going to kissed her, LoL. I must say I really enjoy their interactions, even if he tried to scare her to go away. They are funny. Do you like their banter?
5. And then they KISSED ! What do you think about their "first" kiss? I LoL-ed when she demanded he do it again and do it right. Ransom had no idea what hit him. LMAO .

Is he hiding? I got the impression that he wants to be alone and not hiding ! Something happened to him at his wedding?! A duel maybe?
I'm thinking his solicitors think he is dead (Or think he's blind and can't do anything )so they are selling his properties !

LOl me too !I thought he's going to kiss her ! I'm enjoying their interactions . The narrator is very good and her voices for Izzy and Rnason are very good ,it makes it more entertaining

1. Jane Eyre? Hmm that is interesting. Mine was Beauty and the Beast, but Izzy and Ransom are much more fun, I mean she got a weasel pet and he swears a lot, LoL.

June’s DQs & Lisa Kay’s Answers for Chapter 1 – 6
1. What was your first impression on Izzy and Ransom? What do you think about their first meeting?
I liked them both. I like that Izzy is a little older. Ransom was a little scary at first, but I’m thinking he’ll be a marshmallow for Izzy before the end.

I think Lord Archer mentioned not having seen Ransom “since the wedding” – which I’m assuming was Ransom’s; if so, there’s definitely more there! At first I thought there might be a possibility that Lord Lynforth was trying to pull a fast one – either by getting the castle, or by playing match-maker, but now I don’t think either is so. If other women are also getting castles given to them, then Lord L is probably not a bad guy.

Yes, Snowdrop’s unusual, but pretty cute. Yup. Izzy’s a pop star, looks like.

I'm a sucker for a scarred and tortured hero so I love Ransom already. I'm impressed by Izzy as well. She is strong willed and resilient. Considering her circumstances, especially in that time period, it is a wonder that she is in such good spirits.
2. So we got Ransom, our wounded and brooding hero. Any wild guess about his back story? What and whom he's hiding from? And how come Lord Lynforth willed the castle to Izzy if it was Ransom's. I smelled foul play here. Comment?
There is something fishy going on with his solicitors. It seems that they are taking advantage of his self-imposed isolation to rob him blind (no pun intended).
Whatever Ransom's backstory is, I'm sure it involves a woman. These things always do, lol!

I love Snowdrop! That picture is priceless, Lisa Kay. Of course, I'm not sure I would want an ermine as a pet although the say that ferret's make really good pets.
Yes, Izzy does seem to have a following. In truth they are more fans of the child they think she is and not the woman she actually is. Isn't that true of any fan/groupie in our time as well?

2. I also got the impression that he just wants to be alone not that he is hiding from anything. His situation reminded me of Alastair in To Beguile a Beast by Elizabeth Hoyt.

2. Agreed. I think that Lynforth and Archer acted in good faith. It is the solicitors who are up to no good - never trust a lawyer!
Answers to June's Qs1- I liked them both.
2- I think he was in a duel over a woman and is feeling betrayed. He's probably hiding from society's collective pity.
3- She does, it must be tiresome playing a role for them.

ShoSho's answers to Lisa Kay’s Questions for Chapters 7 – 13 6. Oh, dear. If I were a man, I wouldn’t want anyone to discovering me tugging on myself. LOL! Regardless of the tempting offer of pancakes, I think Izzy needs to learn some boundaries. Still, I have to laugh that his passes are making her more confident, instead of frightening her off. Comments.
She is not the typical historical heroine . I like that she doesn't care for the boundaries
7. What is your impression of star-struck Miss Pelham, the vicar’s daughter? Will she be Izzy’s friend or competition in the Duke’s affection? Or will she just drive her batty over her childhood legacy, “Little Izzy Goodnight”?
I didn't like her . She was too enthusiastic . I don't think she care for the duke in a romantic way . He is her charity case!
She wouldn't drive Izzy batty . Izzy is used to worse than her !
8. BOOK QUOTE: “Heart. They require the reader to possess a heart.” Oh, snap. What a comeback from Izzy. Comments.
I felt sorry for Ransom . He didn't know that Izzy didn't mean it. Izzy knows he has a heart.
9. Do you think Ransom will get his eyesight back? If so, will this be too much of a fairytale ending for you?
I don't think he would get it back completely ,just partially but even if he gets all of it back ,I'll be fine with it. It is a fairy tale after all!
10. Do you have any suspects as to who is stealing from Ransom? Is the same person who’s fudging the costermonger accounts the same as who bequeathed Izzy Ransom’s castle?
No they are not same. These are completely 2 different methods in different scales . One is just petty ,the other is huge .
11. Ransom’s father sounds like a nightmare. What a childhood. That, coupled with his position and the accompanying sense of entitlement explains his gruffness. Comments.
No wonder he is staying in this castle .In his condition he needs companionship and help but he's learned to be on his own when he's hurting and doesn't expect kindness and compassion
12. The Moranglians have arrived!? Will these devoted fans feature more in the story? Will Ransom ever read the books?
I think they would do something good and unexpected for Izzy .
I think he either will read them or have someone read them to him and I don't think that person is Izzy though
13. I am enjoying the conversations between Ransom and Izzy almost as much as the kissing scenes (maybe more), whether it is about Lord Peregrine or her octopus hair, or whatnot. LOL! And loved her thoughts on being saved from “ruination…by ruins.” But then, I love puns. And that castle is pretty huge; scary to think of it falling down around their ears. What do you think of Izzy’s momentary hope that Ransom not regain his sight, so that he never know she’s not what is considered attractive for that era? All too human of her?

Well... I blew it last night. I couldn't sleep and just went for it.
Popping out of lurkdom for a moment, lol. I would like one hundred rat-sized elephants. Think of how cute they would be! Like that commercial that had the mini-giraffe, except it would be elephants. Definitely would be better than an elephant-sized rat for sure!As for the Moranglians, I agree it was a little too modern, but I kinda liked it in a weird way :)
