Regency
The Wicked Deeds of Daniel Mackenzie, Jennifer Ashley, 10-21-14Theme: 3/5 It's a historical. LOL. A lot of people have shelved the series as regency, but they fall late enough to be considered victorian instead.

Elaine - The Perks of Being a Wallflower is YA not LGBT
https://www.goodreads.com/shelf/users...This is what I was going on. Sorry I misunderstood. I thought this made it qualify. I will read something else.

If it's on that shelf then it qualifies no matter what.
One of the Characters is gay so I am assuming that is why people Tag it LGBT.
if there is a main character that is gay, then it qualifies as LGBT (plus 200+ ppl have it shelved that way) as long as there is a romance shelf as well
Shannon wrote: "Nan, is that the rule in this group also. If it's on a shelf, even incorrectly, it still counts?"what is incorrect about it?
is there romance (yes/no)? is there a gay character (yes/no)? - if both of those answers are yes - then it qualifies
I was just asking about it in general not that particular book. In the M/M group if it's on a shelf where it doesn't belong at all it still counts for bingo and stuff and I didn't know if the rules were the same over here.
pretty much - i'm not being overly picky about requirements - as long its obvious how they made the pick it works for mei've seen books used in categories that I def. wouldn't put them in, but people had them shelved that way

Sweet! Except I always feel guilty when that happens. lol
Dammit! I just read my regency book and thought I must be on some kind of crazy reading roll because it went by so fast. Yeah, it was only 80 pages! Back to the drawing board!! :/
Regency: Think of England(was on the regency shelf) - 5 starsLGBT:Blood & Thunder - 5 stars
Even though both books were excellent I am going to say LGBT was the winner since it was slightly better and kept my attention more.
I was just placed here. I will be reading Conduct Unbecoming for LGBT and I have to think about regency can someone tell me the time frame of regency?

3 starsWinner = Regency because overall it was a better representation of theme. I honestly didn't care for either book, but had to pick a "winner" somehow.
Round 2Regency VS LGBT
Regency - Firelight - Kristen Callihan - 20/10/14
Theme: 3 - shelved as regency (I have no idea, I dislike Historicals, so, I don't know if was correct for the regency time period)
Enjoyment: 1
TOTAL: 4/10
LGBT - Primal Passions - Stephani Hecht - 18/10/14
Theme: 5/5 - shelved as MM romance
Enjoyment: 3/5
TOTAL: 8/10
WINNER: LGBT (by a mile)
as a reminder, this round ends Oct 23 at 6pm EST - please make sure you have your pairs completed/posted by then
Regency: Miss Lockharte's Letters by Barbara MetzgerThe first half was good but the second half was less than ok. It was more of a romp but slightly ridiculous which sort of bought the book down. 2 stars
LGBT: Fair Game by Josh Lanyon
Relatively new to the M/M world but I enjoyed this book. I liked the suspense which made me enjoy the book more than a straight contemp would have I think. While I'm planning into jumping the bandwagon, I won't hesitate to pick a book because it's M/M. 3.5 stars.
