Spooky Spelling Challenge - Sign ups & Questions

Spooky Spelling!

For this challenge, you choose a word that has something to do with Halloween. (Example - Trick, Treat, Spooky, Pumpkin) and spell it with book titles.

After you've completed one word, you may choose another.

When you've chosen what word you want, please post it in this thread.

How to earn points:

• 1 point for each book read and reviewed.
• 1 bonus point if you buddy read the book.
• 5 bonus points for every 1000 pages read.

Rules:

• You have to complete your first word before choosing another.

• For a book to count, the first letter in the first word of your title must begin with a letter in your chosen word.
However, if the title starts with "A" or "The" You may skip that, and use the first letter in the next word.
For example, If the book you are reading is
The Summoning you may either use T in "The" or the S in "summoning"

• Books submitted must be read from the 1st of October, to the 31st of October.

• A book can only be used once.

• Buddy read must take place in our group to count..

How are the points working here? That isn't really covered. I am guessing the basics apply (1 pt buddy read, 1 pt book review, 5 pts 1000 pages)? What about the words? Any bonus for word completion? Does the word length make a difference?

Yep, 1 point for the review, 1 point if it's read with a buddy, and 5 points for 1000 pages read.
There isn't any bonus for word completion, and it doesn't matter what length you go for as you can do as many as you like. (You just need to finish one word first before choosing another.)
