You can "bump" your thread every month or so. This pushes your thread back to the top of the folder instead of languishing here on page 81 from two months ago where fewer eyes will see it. Get back in the game! Bump!
You can do this by typing a new comment at the end of the thread, or even by typing the word "bump."
Good luck!

Kell, I added genre and some plot details to the topic header, so your book might be recognized from the header alone. Feel free to update it by clicking the small "edit" link after the header. This only works on the full Desktop website – not the Mobile website or app.

A young girl is transported to the afterlife through a portal, possibly in a lake. She lived with her grandmother, I believe in an old house, and when she was really young, would draw pictures of ghosts that haunted the house.
She's looking for something or someone in the land of the dead, it might be her father. She is with at least one paranormal creature (I think two, is a ghost and a cat), who are helping her search. She has to hide because she's alive and something bad would happen if she were discovered (don't recall what). Strict afterlife rules. Protagonist is strong-willed and brave, I think the ghost friend with her is easily scared/worried.
In the first book, the group takes a train through the land of the dead. In the second book, there are mentions of ancient Egypt, likely related to cats as special or supernatural. Also in the second book, the protagonist has to journey to a cave where if she does the wrong thing, she'll be turned to stone.
Not sure if I finished the series, or how it ends.
