What are you reading in September 2014?

It's funny. A little too funny. I was expecting a dark comedy but this is more like...History of the World Part 1 without the brilliance.
It's mostly slap-stick/farce comedy and...

Last night I finished PORN. Good grief. I'm still processing...

OMG. That blurb. Your review. *shudder*
I don't want to know. O_O

So when yall said Longmire...I was thinking Longstar (or something like that). It was a pulp western series written before I was born that was chock full of sex & violence and somehow I read a ton of them as a kid.

OMG GET OFF MY BOOK! I'M READING IT FIRST! :P

Well knowing me and knowing you, you'll finish it about a year before I do. :)

This is what I did (including skipping Liveship this time around). I ♥ Hobb :)

I cried so much after reading the first Farseer that I gave up on the rest.

Never read any Hobb... =0

Any opinions on City of Stairs?

I have been known to shed a tear our two when reading an especially touching scene. But in the case of any kind of abuse or injustice, I just get mad. Really, really angry. I'm reading The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn and I wasn't expecting how hard it was going to be to read. I had to take a break from it.

Sorry about that, the titles are as follows,
Blood Song by Anthony Ryan
King of Thorns and Emperor of Thrones by Mark Lawrence
Tower Lord by Anthony Ryan.

(And for some reason I have, "I'll be your Huckleberry," in my head. Lol)
I finished Assassin's Quest this morning and I'm going to continue with Fool's Errand. Or I might read The Willful Princess and the Piebald Prince first.

So even though I had bought it, I had been avoiding this book because of the crappy cover for years, but earlier this month I read Hyperion

I also took a break from SF/F and read The Interestings

Now I just started Authority

And now I'll have to check out The Terror!

Now onto Fool's Errand.

I am just 100 pages into Tower Lord, the real difference here is Ryan has moved to a point of view narrative, ala GRRM, as setting locales are varied, and one new character POV to date.
I am enjoying it, we will see.

After that I'm starting Fool's Assassin. And after that, I'm ready to start my October Horror Marathon (that I've been talked into).

I like Leiber, but the later stories aren't as good. In my opinion. Maybe because I got burned out. I don't know. Still two of my favorite characters though.

I've not read a damn thing since May, and I'm actually pretty pissed off and kind of depressed about it, but I see no end to the drought in sight. So here I am.
I thought taking a break would allow me to alleviate some of the pressure I was putting on myself, but that obviously hasn't work.

This book is just weird. And not a good weird. A wth was Hobb thinking kind of way.

:(
Health and stress have been a factor.

It sucks when you want to read but can't.

It's 13-Sep and I feel like the month has just begun!
So, while it is the middle of the month already...what are you reading?
