What Three Characters Are You?
I think I'm Archimedes the owl from The Once and Future King, Elizabeth Bennett from Pride and Prejudice and ...hmm. Third is hard. Probably Daine from Wild Magic. Or maybe Sirius Black.

Sebastian Flyte
Paul Stamets
Edna Mode?
...and Donatello. Isn't that one of the

!!! I didn't account for such recent acquaintances. They'd def be another one *carefully waves at you from afar in acknowledgement*

This is nice <3

Absolutely not! Wouldn't think to visit or invite!

Cat from Game of Thrones
Jon Snow from Game of Thrones
part of me is in part of them

Wow! All from the same series! You must resonate a lot with it.

Arya = the tomboy part
Cat = older woman / family focus plus her love for her husband
Jon Snow = the outsider who doesn't want to be the center of anything but who will step up when needed
That makes sense to me! Sometimes these are best when they're the first things that come to mind :)

Wait, wait, I have a play on words here!
You all could have a Ren Faire!
ETA it occurs to me that you all are from European countries and therefore may not have a pretend history you dress up for that mimics your real history. Ren Faire is short for Renaissance Fair (e added for authenticity! ;-) ) and people pretend it's some made up time period between the Bronze age and the Victorian era, which is apparently all Renaissance.

(We do dress up for "Ren Fairs" - just had our Turku Medieval Festival couple weeks ago - what better place than between era accurate buildings of local churches and castle to arrange jousting matches and gather for street market along the town crossing river. Theatre town as we are: local students and graduates are many on the move around that time, playing the parts of royalty, clergy, tricksters and peasants.)
Ha! I am getting off topic, but I was always lead to believe that it wasn't a real "thing" done in Europe.

Ford Prefect from Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy
Martin Silenus from Hyperion
I'm not telling why. Only my psychologist knows for sure.

Heeey! Nice :D

Could be that it blends in so well with cultural history, that it doesn't get regarded as such a novelty, but rather an acknowledgement of local history (or perhaps just another fair weekend among several in summer times?). Around here at least it means increasing tourism to museums and the aforementioned historical landmarks (and theater?) So, one could say, perhaps even more of a 'real' thing ^^'

it is, but there are also Medieval festivals in France and it's so much more interesting when they're set in a place that has actual buildings from the era. Here's a good site to check out European historical festivals

we even went to a Napoleon Bonaparte festival that had reenactments of battles, soldier's camps, etc in Rueil-Malmaison one year (it's the town where Josephine's Chateau Malmaison is located and where she and her daughter Hortense, mother of Napoleon III, are buried)

if you look at the Gallerie (2014 & 2016), you'll see it looks a little bit like a Renaissance festival but it's also quite a bit different in that the have lots of people dressed up as the local elf types with pointed ears and characters on stilts and both the food (no turkey legs) and costumes are more implistic

Elizabeth is so elegant^^

Yeah, I like so much his whole weariness with humankind that always treated him like a bastard and then wants him to take care of all the problems. The face he makes when everybody wants him to be the leader, it's a "why me? why can't I take a break?" face :-)
Just love it because I can understand all that.

Let's go with Mary Lennox, Mary Ingalls, and Annika Settergren.
I'd like to be more like Princess Irene (Curdie's rescuer).
Yes, it's true, I've never actually grown up.

I wish I was as sane as Murderbot! Maybe it's another goal, to become a hybrid, a MurderTenar!

I want new adventure for Murderbot but sitting in the box and watching entertainment feeds is also very cute. :)

- Arthur Dent of the first two Hitchhiker books
- Any of the female characters in Akiko Higashimura's manga, except the glamorous ones
- Mark Twain as a persona in his non-fiction
(there are definitely aspects that all of these characters entirely miss and that I can't immediately think of someone who fits. why are 2/3 of these men though? )
Maybe I'll join Club Ren whenever I get around to reading that book!

Don’t sweat it. Mine are a dog, a genderless cyborg and a 6-year-old girl.

Ha ha ha.

Definitely Lirael.

Also, if we're swapping genders, Prince Arren from The Farthest Shore.

This is fun.

Allison, they have medieval fairs in Germany all spring/summer/fall long. People dress up, reenact battles, make and sell appropriate goods, crafts and food and play medieval and folk music. For a period about 20 years ago I gave voice lessons to a girl who sang with a medieval band for these festivals.
