I want to finish Hex Hall by Rachel Hawkins. Finishing this book will complete an August book challenge I am doing.
QOTD: What is one of your favorite meals and/or treats to make? (Since fall is quickly approaching, these can be fall recipes for inspo.)
I love making chicken alfredo for a meal. Homemade alfredo tastes so much better than out of the jar. For a treat, I really love making pumpkin cream cheese muffins, which are perfect for fall.
LCPL wrote: "QOTD: This is the last week of August! Are there any current reads or projects that you're wanting to finish before the end of the month?"i'm reading no name in the street by james baldwin & horror movie by paul tremblay. i'll definitely finish no name but i would really like to finish both
LCPL wrote: "QOTD: What is one of your favorite meals and/or treats to make? (Since fall is quickly approaching, these can be fall recipes for inspo.)"This is the time of year I like to make fresh breads, either loaves, rolls, or similar. and soups.
LCPL wrote: "QOTD: What is one of your favorite meals and/or treats to make? (Since fall is quickly approaching, these can be fall recipes for inspo.)"I love to bake. I'd say cinnamon rolls, chocolate chip cookies, or banana bread are my favorite treats.
I found some vegetarian apple & sage sausages that I like to fry up and eat with peppers, onions, sriracha, and kewpie mayo. As a side I'll usually make mac n cheese. That's been a new favorite meal to make.
I finished one of my current reads, and I meal prepped lunches for the week to save time and not spend extra money on eating out.
LCPL wrote: "QOTD: Wednesday Wins – Share something you've accomplished this week or are proud of this week."I went clothes shopping and actually found a few pieces I really liked.
I also got a cool desk chair that was on sale.
I watch TV shows quite a bit, but I feel like in the fall and winter is when I watch the most movies. For fall, I really love watching:You've Got Mail
Practical Magic
Halloweentown
The Nightmare Before Christmas
Hocus Pocus
Coraline
Casper
Corpse Bride
When Harry Met Sally
Scream
Sleepy Hollow
The Hobbit
LOTR
Harry Potter
It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown
Legally Blonde
Sweet Home Alabama
Twilight (all 4)
Beetlejuice
Some movies on my to-watch list for the fall:
Autumn in New York
Good Will Hunting
Dead Poets Society
Fantastic Mr. Fox
Beetlejuice 2
LCPL wrote: "QOTD: What movie(s) do you enjoy watching during the fall season?"i enjoy re-watching the evil dead movies in the fall/around halloween
LCPL wrote: "QOTD: What movie(s) do you enjoy watching during the fall season?"I don't really watch movies based on the season/holiday. I do tend to watch Planes, Trains, and Automobiles around the last part of the year. I also plan to re-watch Beetlejuice before the new one comes out in theaters!
I don't watch movies based on season/holiday either. Occasionally, I pick out something special for Halloween. So maybe, Practical Magic, Beetlejuice, Poltergeist or The Exorcist.
I plan on getting some reading done and probably going to try a new-to-me restaurant for some good Indian food.
