QOTD: How many books did you read in May? What was your favorite and least favorite books of the month?

message 4002: by Krystyna (new)

Krystyna (adoseofcozy) | 889 comments LCPL wrote: "QOTD: What's on your June TBR?"

I don't really have a June TBR because I have a lot going on this month so I'm just going to mood read as I can. However, a couple of hopefuls that I'd like to get around to is finishing The Last Tale of the Flower Bride by Roshani Chokshi and I'd like to read The Girl Who Fell Beneath the Sea by Axie Oh. I know that I'll read more than that but those are the two I'm wanting to focus on.

I read a little bit in a few books but I only managed to finish 1 book, which I enjoyed – Hockey Girl Loves Drama Boy by Faith Erin Hicks. I loved her art in Pumpkinheads by Rainbow Rowell and immediately wanted to read this when I saw it.

Dawn | 372 comments 34 (I’ve definitely gotten my money’s worth from $5.99 Kindle Unlimited two month trial!). My fave was The Burning Witch book 3 by Delemhach (that entire series has become a fave of mine ) while I was underwhelmed by The Hemlock Queen by Hannah Whitten.

Vivian Stevenson (passionatelyperusing) | 2032 comments Giovanni’s Room by James Baldwin. It’s one of my all time favorite books and I feel like I read it way too fast. I needed more of it.

Two books:

- Neverwhere by Neil Gaiman, I loved the characters and the choices they made.

- The Wayward Pines Trilogy Series 3 Books Set by Blake Crouch, loved this series. I wanted to visit again, after about 500 years passed, and see what was left.

No plans. I'll probably just read and watch tv.

message 4019: by Dawn (new)

Dawn | 372 comments Saw LORT: TFOTR at the theatre again yesterday and going to see LOTR: The Two Towers today. Every time I see them at the movies, I’m again just astounded at how absolutely brilliant that trilogy is. Everything was simply phenomenal — casting, acting, directing, location, cinematography, costumes. I never tire of watching them, but they are even more special on the big screen. The audience even clapped at the ending yesterday.
