Question of the Day
I plan on going through my shelves to purge some books from my collection to make more space. I also plan to get some reading done this weekend, but not any specific plans.
Going to the Black Jacket Symphony performs Prince’s Purple Rain/greatest hits show Sunday night. Got my purple shirt and accessories ready!
Going to a book club meet with some friends Saturday after work at a very cute lil coffee shop in Corbin! We never usually get around to reading lol just talk about what we’re currently reading or what books we’ve been interested in lately and chat. It’s really nice.
LCPL wrote: "QOTD: Do you have any fun, cozy, or bookish plans this weekend?"No, I don't. I'll just read whenever I can.
If I'm wanting coffee my go-to is the Iced Brown Sugar Oatmilk Shaken Espresso with white mocha shaken in from Starbucks. However, if I'm near a Dutch Bros. then I like the Annihilator with hazelnut, caramel drizzle, and soft top. For non-coffee drinks, I'm obsessed with Caddyshack Peace Tea. If I'm wanting soda, my go-to is Dr. Pepper Zero Sugar (with cherry and lime-sometimes).
LCPL wrote: "QOTD: What is your current favorite drink?"Coffee: Iced caramel macchiato
Soda: Diet coke
I also enjoy lime sparkling water (preferably Waterloo brand but any is fine.)
LCPL wrote: "QOTD: What is your current favorite drink?"IDK that it's a current fav but coffee/tea wise i love an iced chai latte or a hot London Fog latte.
Regular, I guess maybe like a raspberry sweet tea or just coke zero

The Devil and the Dark Water looks really good. I am going to look at that one. Maybe read it in May, maybe June.

So far it's quite interesting. Hopefully you end up liking it!
LCPL wrote: "QOTD: Tip Tuesday - Share a bookish/reading tip for your fellow book lovers."Don't be afraid to DNF. I still struggle with this one sometimes. But don't spend time on a book that you're not loving when you could read something else that might become a new favorite.

QOTD: Turn it up Tuesday – what song/album/playlist have you been listening to on repeat or loving recently?
I haven't been listening to music as much as I normally do, but lately I've been enjoying a cozy lofi playlist and a Studio Ghibli playlist for when I just want some background noise that's not distracting. It pairs well with reading, gaming, and writing.
LCPL wrote: "QOTD: Turn it up Tuesday – what song/album/playlist have you been listening to on repeat or loving recently?"i have a playlist of just a bunch of songs i love that's like 22 hrs (and always adding) long and i just put that on shuffle everyday lol. also the album the land is inhospitable and so are we by mitski is one i keep going back to lately
LCPL wrote: "QOTD: Turn it up Tuesday – what song/album/playlist have you been listening to on repeat or loving recently?"I just have one large playlist that I listen to. I haven't really been listening to anything specific.
“Don't feel bad for one moment about doing what brings you joy.”― Sarah J. Maas, A Court of Thorns and Roses
I will lend out my books, aside from special editions. I'm planning on lending out some of my books that I've annotated to have friends annotate as they read them.
LCPL wrote: "QOTD: Do you lend out your books?"Not often, but yeah I do. I have to at least know the person before I lend it.
If the weather is decent, I'd like to spend time in my hammock with my Kindle. I don't really have any specific plans, just to read and maybe do some spring decluttering.
LCPL wrote: "QOTD: Do you have any fun, cozy, or bookish plans this weekend?"No plans. I want to try and watch a good movie or two.
LCPL wrote: "QOTD: Start of the week check-in: What is your #1 priority this week?"Get the lawn mowed before it rains.

If they're ARCs, I put them in the little free library in my town.
I usually sell them on pango or I go to a place that will take them for in-store credit / cash. If they don't sell, then I'll put them in the LFL as well.
If my friends want any, I just give it to them.
