Just one, The Diamond Eye by Kate Quinn. It was phenomenal, so no surprises there lol

I want to continue Pucking Around by Emily Rath from last month. But for August TBR books, I'd like to read The Broken Girls by Simone St. James and maybe finish other books that I've started and haven't finshed yet. These have been sitting on my "currently reading" shelf for far too long. I've been reading on my Kindle rather than picking up physical books lately.

I read 5 books in July. My favorite read of the month was Haunting Adeline by H.D. Carlton and my least favorite read of the month was The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho.

I finished 6 books in July. My favorite was The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini, and my least favorite was Flowers for Algernon by Daniel Keyes.

I read 15 books in July.
Favorite was Girl in the Woods by Jennifer McMahon.
Least favorite was Journal of a Trapper: Nine Years in the Rocky Mountains 1834-1843 by Osborne Russell

Early in the morning (5 am) when nobody is awake. It makes me feel productive, and getting up that early helps me sleep better at night. I also get the most reading done during the morning.

from like 6-8 a.m., but just mornings in general. i'm not as much of a night owl as i used to be
QOTD: Are you team Apple Music or Spotify, and why? If neither, what music app do you use and why do you love it?

spotify, mostly because it's just what i've used for years. i really don't even know anything about how apple music works lol

I've tried using Spotify in the past and I didn't care for it. I use Apple Music because I don't really know any other music services. It's also pretty straightforward.

Apple music, because it's really easy to use and nothing is off limits. I had been using Amazon Music for years when it was included with your prime membership but they make you pay an extra fee now.

I like the evenings, after dinner when everything is winding down and I can just chill before bed.
QOTD: What is your superhero name?
The color of your pants + the last thing you ate = your superhero name
The color of your pants + the last thing you ate = your superhero name

I'm going based off GR, and it says it's Randomize by Andy Weir. It's 28 pages and I gave it three stars. I read it back in 2021, so I don't know if that rating would stick today.

.
Kolkata Sea by Indra Das. 4 pages. Loved it.
Loved his full length book, The Devourers. Which led me to his super short story.

the shortest book i've read that wasn't poetry was the yellow wallpaper by charlotte perkins gilman. it was 64 pages according to goodreads & i loved it

i watched they look like people (2015) back in june and loved it. i feel like saying what i loved so much about the movie kinda gives too much away, but let's just say the movie handles a certain topic extremely well that the horror genre has a really bad track record with. plus i really liked the ambiguity

When Marnie was There. It's a Studio Ghibli film, and it made me cry like a baby. I enjoy most films by them, but this one just hit a bit different.

its older but A Beautiful Mind with Russell Crowe, we watched it on Prime and i absolutely bawled my eyes out at the end lol Been a while since a movie gave me an emotional breakdown lol

"You're gonna need a bigger boat." - Martin Brody - Jaws

It's a quote from Erin Brockovich and it's kind of long:
"So before you come back here with another lame a** offer, I want you to think real hard about what your spine is worth, Mr. Walker. Or what you might expect someone to pay you for your uterus, Ms. Sanchez. Then you take out your calculator and you multiply that number by a hundred. Anything less than that is a waste of time."
Julia Roberts does such a great job in this movie.

not gonna type it because it's super long lol, but mia goth's monologue in the movie pearl is fantastic. that scene alone could cement that movie as one of my all time favorites, and mia goth's perfect (as always) performance just elevates the whole thing

I like pepperoni and pineapple most of time. I enjoy a regular cheese every once in awhile.
