Now that Under the Whispering Door is out, I'd say it's Cytonic by Brandon Sanderson.

This is a bit difficult to answer. But I know the one that I have thought about it after finishing the book, I enjoyed reading, and that I recommend to everyone that is wanting a spooky book is Kill Creek by Scott Thomas. I think that this is so underrated and more people should give it a try. It's so good.

Krystyna wrote: "QOTD: What is your favorite horror book? Why?"Dracula by Bram Stoker. This one really scared me. While reading it, I saw Dracula in every shadow and around every corner. I am overdue for a reread. I wonder if it will have the same effect on me.
Fated, Fallen, and Cursed—all three by Benedict JackaCharmcaster by Sebastien de Castell
Battle Ground by Jim Butcher (not fully orange but lots of orange on cover)
Krystyna wrote: "QOTD: Favorite book with witches?"I can't think of a single book with witches. I guess I'll go with Harry Potter as well since I read the first book in the series.
Krystyna wrote: "QOTD: Favorite book with vampires?"Dracula by Bram Stoker, but, again, I am sure that I am forgetting some.
Krystyna wrote: "QOTD: Favorite book with magic?"Does The House in the Cerulean Sea count as a book with magic?
I could say that or Harry Potter.

I still need to read that and watch the movie adaptation. I know so many people that love it.

This is one of the rare cases where the movie is better than the book. I saw the movie first, loved it, but and was a tad bit disappointed in the book.

Ah, I see. I try to read the books before I watch the movie or tv show adaptation. But I'm not always able to do that or sometimes I have no desire to read the book but want to watch the movie or show.
