Angelina I just finished my last book…and have no more! And I'm having trouble finding ones that sound good. PLEASE HELP! I need books to read! I have read Maybe Someday by Colleen Hoover, Ugly Love, and her Slammed series. I have read Beautiful Disaster, The Edge of Never, Easy…I love romance novels (not erotica). I'm trying to get away from Young Adult books. I know there's New Adult, but I don't want anything too…racey-with very descriptive sex scenes every minute. I like crime/mystery novels. I'm in a rut and need suggestions! Books or authors. Thank you!!

Michelle °O° I just read this series Price of a Kiss and it was a fun and easy read.

There is Archer's Voice Archer's Voice
Similar to Maybe Someday but such a better hero

I also noticed you have the Thoughtless series on TBR Thoughtless Kellen is one of my favorite Book Boyfriends :) ♥

Also another favorite of mine is Education of Sebastian/Caroline The Education of Sebastian & The Education of Caroline

Pianisuparse Linda Kage's 'Forbidden Men' Series is an awesome one, which has Price of a Kiss that Michelle mentioned.

Kimberly Lauren 'Broken' Series, AWESOME.

Monica Murphy's 'One Week Girlfriend' Series is another one that I loved and

Jay McLean's 'More' Series is AMAZING!

Hope you find something you like! :)

Allysen Sea of Tranquility by Katja Millay
Ten Tiny Breaths by K.A. Tucker
Hopeless by Colleen Hoover
Making Faces by Amy Harmon

Where We Belong by Emily Giffin
What Alice Forgot by Liane Moriarty

Michelle °O° Adding another book because I think this will be one of my favorites after reading it the other night

Black Lies
Black Lies

Karen May I suggest The Breathe series from Rebecca Donovan. I had a big time "book hangover" when I finished them.

Oh how could I have forgotten that one? Awesome, Evan is one of my all time sweetest boyfriends!!

Jan There are so many to choose from have a look at Abbi Glines books Because of Low (Sea Breeze, #2) by Abbi Glines

There are whole series of them and each a stand alone but you get to know all the characters.

Cindy T.E. Sivic...awesome writer. Beautiful Lie

Nila I recommend More Than This (More, #1) by Jay McLean , More Than Her (More, #2) by Jay McLean , More Than Forever (More, #4) by Jay McLean ,
also At Any Turn by Brenna Aubrey , At Any Price (Gaming the System, #1) by Brenna Aubrey or
Ugly Love by Colleen Hoover

Arlin I'm more into NA Romance and love Colleen Hoover, Ugly Love.
Beautiful Bastard, Beautiful Stranger, Beautiful Player ,
Lick, Play , Scoring Wilder , Dearest Clementine. Anything Samantha Young, try Abbi Glines Chance Series, and Sawyer Bennett's Uncivilized and Off series. I hated the One Week Girlfriend Quartet, and the Breathe series by Rebecca Donovan, first book was awesome but by half the second book I hated the main character, she was incredibly annoying.

Duane Hey, if you like crime/mystery type stuff, try Joe Wambaugh.

etc.

Kristin Neighbor From Hell series By R L Mathewson is one of my faves. There's a little sex but nothing gross.

I don't know how you feel about paranormal, but Molly Harper's Jane Jameson is a great fresh character in a usually sexfocused genre. Again I believe there was some sex, but nothing over the top.

Another paranormal, this one witches, was a huge surprise for me. Cindy Eller may sound silly, but it was a great series with a side series about her sister Goldie Locke. I know the names seem trite, but the story was sweet with a little humor.

If you want a mystery without romance Michael Connely's Bosch series is great, and well established.

Unfortunately the best mystery romances I have read are dirty. I do a lot of skimming.

I agree but Rosemary Beach are my favorite AG characters.

I loved Lick and Play and Lead. One of the better musician series.

Archers Voice was a very good one.

Kristin Knitting in the City by Penny Reid is a fantastic series. Each set of characters is unique. The first girl was a delight to discover and all of the sequels are good, but two of the later ones are just as good as the first. The sex is mild and the characters have depth.

Kristin And if you haven't read them Covenant series and Lux Series by JLArmentrout are worth a second look at YA books.

Bethanie you should read Significance series.....Its paranormal but a great book!! No sex that I remember....Its about soul mates....One of my all time favorites!!

Brendy The whole serie of "Watersong" by Amanda Hocking it's fiction, ok, it's about mermaids, but a reaaaally bad type of mermaids, there's a lot of romance, action, tears, suspense and love, I enjoyed every single one of them. And yeah it's completely ROMANCE, no erotica with sex scenes the characters are arround 16 and 20, it's a sweet love, so don´t worry about that. I totally recomend it.

Andreea Ruin (Ruin, #1) by Rachel Van Dyken Toxic (Ruin, #2) by Rachel Van Dyken
K.A. Tucker, the Ten Tiny Breaths serie

Angela Forshee Away with me in Seattle series is wonderful!!!! Great love stories!!!

Deanna I would suggest the Barefoot Bay series by Roxanne St. Claire. If I remember correctly, you know there is going to be sex but she doesn't include the actual act in the books. It's a really cute romance series. Barefoot in the Sand (Barefoot Bay, #1) by Roxanne St. Claire
Also, maybe Flat-Out Love by Jessica Park. If you like it, there are two more books that follow.
Maybe Nicholas Sparks?

Bella vavrykovicz The Wright Brother by Marie Hall

Frances Read The Ivy Years series by Sarina Bowen. All of the books are awesome.

Cindy Read "Reed's Reckoning" awesome....Reed is my new book boyfriend....

Cindy I just finished Surrendering and Surviving by Ahren Sanders...Awesome..check it out

message 30: by Dana (new) - rated it 5 stars

Dana Levin I suggest you read my book, Hollywood Princess, a New Adult romance, with mild heat - you feel it, but the details are left to your imagination, they're not on the page. Combines the glamour of Hollywood with romance at a college setting. Hollywood Princess by Dana Aynn Levin

message 31: by Deanna (last edited Nov 27, 2014 08:33AM) (new) - rated it 5 stars

Deanna You will definitely want to read Colleen Hoover's Hopeless series and she just came out with Maybe Not, but she herself says it's a little more sexual.
I would suggest reading Jessica Park Flat-Out Love (Flat-Out Love, #1) by Jessica Park Flat-Out Matt (Flat-Out Love, #1.5) by Jessica Park Flat-Out Celeste (Flat-Out Love, #2) by Jessica Park Left Drowning by Jessica Park . A New Adult choice might be Kiss Me Like This (The Morrisons, #1) by Bella Andre . I would also second the Barefoot Bay series and maybe even say the Fool's Gold Series by Susan Mallery.

Cindy skin deep

Trish Cindy wrote: "skin deep"
Skin Deep by whom :) I looked but there are a lot of them.

message 35: by Carole (new)

Carole I recommend Bella Andre's The Sullivan Series. Great books, no cliffhangers, no stupid conflicts.

You should try "Love me with lies" series by Tarryn Fisher and "Avoiding" series by K.A. Linde. They are amazing!

Stefanie I would recommend, if you want out of the kids club, nora roberts - Sea Swept, or some elizabeth hunter, The Genius and the Muse (without fantasy) or A Hidden Fireif you are into fantasy as well.

My first Colleen Hoover novel was Hopeless Hopeless- so I can highly recommend it, and have you read Confess yet?
Confess

New adult, well written and with just a hint of sexy is the wait for you series from J. Lynn Wait for You, aka Jennifer L. Armentrout.

I startet with her fantasy books and then read all her books - some are young adult, some new adult and there are one or two adult books.
Daimon (Coventant Series - YA)
Obsidian (Lux Series YA)
Obsession (Lux Spin-Off/ Standalone NA)

All this books are a stellar combination of young adult and new adult as well as a hint of adult.
Have fun, I did!

Angelina Thank you guys so much for the recommendations!! I really do appreciate it. As a reminder I do not like YA books. I'm totally out of that faze sadly. I used to be obsessed with YA books and fantasy but now I can't stand them haha. I like New Adult, Adult, Mystery, Thriller...The only exception I will make when it comes to YA books is if it is a dystopian story. I love them! They are really interesting to read. And they only seem to come in YA books. And if anyone else needs recommendations I'll be happy to give them too!

Heidi Any of Tarryn Fisher's books are awesome!
I would suggest starting with the Opportunist and reading the entire Love me With Lies series.
