She has to keep it hidden as there kind has been killed for it. only female witches in there family gets those powers. Her mother is evil. There is a prince of some other kingdom and also has powers, power to control sea. He likes her but is unsure of her motives. She tells him about her mothers plan to kill him and asks him to run away. (hide spoiler)]
