Good job team Ladybug!Sorry I have been a bit MIA, work and family stuff kept me busier than I anticipated.I have done the first three games (Kickoff, Book Reader Problem Tag, Synonyms and Antonyms) and added them to the spreadsheet. I hope I did it correctly!
Off to get some reading done. I'm not sure if my current read (Victoria) can count for anything other than pages read.
Calvino Italo- Italo Calvino was born in Cuba and grew up in Italy.Born
in Santiago de Las Vegas, Cuba
October 15, 1923
Died
September 19, 1985
or
Eco Umberto
Born
in Alessandria, Italy
January 05, 1932
Died
February 19, 2016
I'm thinking try Calvino, anyone care about our guess? I sure hope we didn't accidentally delete anyone!
They are pretty equal guesses to me. I have heard of Umberto but not Italo but that does not mean much : ). I did not know the author of the team that has figured out their author. If we try both and they don't work we at least have a pretty good idea of how to limit the list and will have 2 more guesses on authors. Now, I better go read!

In order to be the winning team, you have to complete all the buckets and guess your author. Congratulations on guessing the author. You're halfway there. We will assign you a second author to work on as you continue on your buckets & games.
YAY team! We got the author! I have no clue how we would have gotten it without the 1001 list (unless others have heard of him), so shout out to the question idea Karissa and spreadsheeting the authors Hannah!
Awesome! Great job Team Ladybug! I have Invisible Cities by Italo Calvino sitting unread on my bookshelf so I think I'll switch up my plan and read that instead in honor of our correct guess. It should be a quick read.

I’ve read If on a Winter's Night a Traveler if anyone is interested in reading something by him.
I read The Time Paradox and The Atlantis Complex for a total of 760. I hope to finish off The Last Guardian before bed, so that will be 1088 pages for today, but we'll see. I think they basically only count for page count, but I'll try reading a book that will count for one of the prompts tomorrow.
Not a great reading day for me. Only 66 pages. I have added them to the spreadsheet.Amazing job guessing the author, you guys.
Here is my reading for the day and it has been added to the spreadsheet.Early Riser finished 6/9/19
63 pages
The Austere Academy finished 6/9/19 (just counts toward page count)
40 pages
The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time
74 pages
The Silver Linings Playbook-audio
I will add pages when finished
I finished 101 Dalmatians for a book on the TBR pageAdded my own pages but will need you to update that it's finished.
I've added the books listed above to the spreadsheet. For bucket 8, we still need red, orange, and purple covers.Great reading this weekend everyone! We'll likely slow down during the week, but looking forward to continuing to move through these buckets and read all the books!
i will finish britt Marie then i could read
The Melancholy Death of Oyster Boy & Other Stories
which tin eye says is blueand is very short congrats on guessing the author and yes the 1001 list was a bonus
Completed Britt-Marie Was Here
read 109 pages today
works for page 6 of TBR
I will put page numbers in but can someone do the bucket part for me
The Melancholy Death of Oyster Boy and Other StoriesI am not convinced this will work - it is poetry - does have 115 pages but there are illustrations on some pages
i haven't anything else for blue I have completed the book above but not put the oyster boy one in because I am unsure. ETA just realised we don't need blue anymore.
I have a little time this morning and at lunch but I don't think I will be able to finish my orange cover until this evening. I won't get to games until this evening either.I have about 45 mins left on the book for the next bucket for sports so I will check in at lunch to see if the colors (red, orange, purple) have been filled in to see which book to focus on.
Do we have anyone working on spans several years (we need 2 books once we finish our 3 colors left in bucket 8)?
Sorry team, life is seriously getting in the way of reading and goodreads! Congrats on finding the author, you did an amazing job!I’m going to try and finish
today so it can count for the orange cover.
Marie - in the past, I've been told that poetry still counts as long as the page number is there. Since we don't need that task for cover anymore, you can still add page number. Sophie - no worries, we all have life! We're still happy you're reading with us!
It looks like we might be able to finish bucket 8 today.
Red - Tatra (I think we had at least one more person reading red)
Orange - Sophie or Jillian
Purple - Joan? Anyone else working on a purple?
For the next bucket, I've got one that takes place over a span of time that I'll be able to finish quickly. Do we have another in the works?
For questions, I'll probably start with male/female, dead/alive, surname A-L and then rely on what the group wants after that.
Happy Monday! (or almost Tuesday).
The two books that I'm focusing on now both span a number of years. A Short History of Nearly Everything spans several billion 🤣, but I won't finish that soon enough (14 hours of audio left). I'll keep pushing with Schindler's List.
The one I am reading now spans several years I will not finish it to keep fit that later bucket. On my way to real life book group catch up later
Did the game and posted in spreadsheet. Should finish a book that covers a span of years sometime today.
Issues at work so its taking a little longer to finish the purple but I will have it done by 6, in about 5 hours. I will probably finish it on my way home from work (it is an audiobook) and will update the book after dinner, as that will be the first opportunity I will have.
I will check to see when Ashley or someone else posts purple. Then I will finish my sports book once I get home from work in about 5 hours. I'm going to get about 30 mins of reading in during lunch and should just have ~ 30 mins left.
Ashley wrote: "Yes, I think we do. If I were you I would put it on the spreadsheet."We just put it on the spreadsheet once it is finished.
Sarah wrote: "Do we still need a red cover? I'm about to finish Fallout?"I was on a call, but see others have responded. We'd love Fallout for red! Even if you post on the spreadsheet, please post here as well, so everyone knows.
