Task 20.9 THE COUNTRY SHOW
This task is all about the country fairs that happen in rural areas and small towns every summer.
Choose a book from the list of options and read one book that fits that option. State the option you chose.
Option 3 History
To celebrate the first known country fair held in Lancashire in 1768, read a book with two or more of the numbers 1, 7, 6, 8 found in the year the book was originally published.
I read THE OTHER by Thomas Tryon. It was first published in 1971 so the numbers 1 and 7 are a part of the date mentioned in the task. I read this book in high school and it freaked me out in a creepy' good way! Even years later it still freaks me out! A classic horror story! The original movie is pretty creepy too.
