Questions/Problems in Completed Tasks

Task 20.7 requires that the book you read have a MPG that matches the number you rolled. You rolled a 2. Your genres are: SCIENCE FICTION or FANTASY, which means the book you read must have one of those MPG.
At time of review, Ask Again, Yes had the following MPGs:
GENRES
Fiction 167 users
Contemporary 70 users
Literary Fiction 42 users

At the time of review, The Con Artist: A Novel has a MPG Sequential Art > Graphic Novels:

Mystery 36 users

Humor 9 users

Mystery > Crime 6 users
If it clearly is not a graphic novel, you need to ask for approval in the Not Really a Comic Book/Graphic Novel thread in General Help and post a link to that approval when you post to use the book for a 20-, 25-, or 30-point task.

We have quite a few Stephanies currently in the challenge as well as in our archives. Please repost (make a NEW post in the Completed Task thread) that includes all the information in post 76 with your Readerboard name at the top of your post. The easiest way to do this is to go to your original post, click edit, select all and copy. Then cancel the edit, paste the task into a new post, and put your Readerboard name at the top. This will maintain book links and other formatting. DO NOT go back and edit your original post. I will not go backwards in the completed task thread to pick up points.

You've claimed task 10.5, but from the title provided I think you mean 10.6. No need to repost, just make sure your records show the correct task claimed.

Re: Task 30.10 -- I can't find either of your books listed on the pages you've given on the Espionage list. Are they on a different list, maybe?

Re: Task 30.10 -- I can't find either of your books listed on the pages you've given on the Espionage list. Are they on a different list, maybe?"
Ah, looks like I noted down the pages wrong. N or M? is #44 on Espionage list, p.1. Not finding Back Story, but I'm backtracking through the lists. Will repost when found.

Got it! Back Story is on p. 6 of the Thieves list. Obvs mustve had too many tabs open at once. grrr. Reposting.

Complete Semantic Dyslexia. I read "No need to repost" and thought it said "You must repost." So I did.
Heavens.

Heavens.."
LOL. No worries.

Re: task 15.4, option 2 - to work for the one book option the book must be first published in July. The Living Landscape: Designing for Beauty and Biodiversity in the Home Garden was first published June 14th 2014.

Task 5.3 requires a book with a title that begins with an R or a C. A Casualty of War begins with an A.

We have quite a few Stephanies in the challenge. Please repost your task with your Readerboard name at the top of your post. See message #4 above, as well.

Smoke in Moonlight appears to be an ebook without a print edition. Please see section 8. Using ebooks in the Challenge Rules for instructions on how to obtain pre-approval. When approval has been granted, please make a new post (repost) in the completed task thread with all required information.

We have several Abigails in the challenge. Please repost your task with your Readerboard name at the top of your post.

Task 30.8 requires that one of the authors shares a name with a Twin Authors and Writers. Only names within the section titled Twin Authors and Writers will work. Twins in Business will not. The names that fit the task are listed in post 2 of the Help Thread, as well.

Task 5.9 requires that the book you read be fiction. Furious Hours: Murder, Fraud, and the Last Trial of Harper Lee is nonfiction.

Graphic novels, sequential art books, manga, collections of comic book issues, and collections of comic strips may not be claimed for Big Book tickets. See Golden Oldies and Big Book Tickets in the FAQs folder.

Oh, bother. Do I need to repost?

Thanks, will read something else and repost.

No, just adjust your Big Book tickets going forward.

Task 25.4 requires the combined page count for both books to be 501 or greater. We do not use Kindle page count in the SRC. See #2.7 in the Rules of the Challenge for instructions on how to determine page counts for ebooks.
The top mass market paperback (MMPB) for The Hollow by Agatha Christie is Le Vallon, which has 258 pages. When combined with your other book claimed for this task, the page count comes to 498.

Just an FYI on this one - you points have been recorded.
The author on record (GRs record, that is) for the edition of The Unexpected Guest you've linked to is Charles Osborne. This is the novelization of Agatha Christie's play of the same name. I'm not sure if you read the novel or the play. The play is here: The Unexpected Guest by Agatha Christie.
In this case, it doesn't really matter since the initials of either author can be found in AURIC GOLDFINGER but it's something to be aware of in the future (the fact that we go with the author in the GRs record, I mean).

Re 10.8 - I think you may have typed in your roll incorrectly. The 6-sided dice shouldn't have a 0. Please recheck your notes and repost so I can pick up your points.

Task 20.9, option 3 requires that the two numbers be found in the publication date, not the page numbers.

The Seasonal Reading Challenge Posting Requirements require: 12. Only one task may be included in a post.
Please DO NOT delete your original post (#607). To earn your points, simply make a NEW post for each of your completed tasks.

Please check your totals. You reported total went from 20 points to 75 points between posts 610 and 611 (?). You've posted tasks totaling 35 points, so far.

Task 20.7 requires that the book you read also display the MPG you rolled. At time of review, The Stone Circle does not have the MPG of Romance or Womens Fiction.

The edition of Charmed Offense you've linked to does not have a print version. Please repost including the information required for ebooks without print versions required by the Rules of the Challenge.

Task 15.7 requires a book with a title that begins with one of the letters in ROGUE ONE as well as one that is written by an author with an initial that can be found in the same term. Mint Juleps, Mayhem, and Murder won't work because there is no M in ROGUE ONE.

Task 10.8 specifically says you may only roll once. Since you didn't note down your first roll, to be fair, a mod should roll for you. Ask in the task's help thread for a new roll and we can go from there.

Task 15.10 requires a book with a title that is exactly 6, 7, or 8 words long. The Supernatural Book of Monsters, Spirits, Demons, and Ghouls has 9 words in the title.

On June 7th I posted a completed task under readerboard name TraceyL for task 25.6. It used the books The Farm and Cari Mora to complete the task.
I've since realized that I can use The Farm for 30.8 the Twin Authors task. Can I cancel out that post? I don't know how soon points are calculated/added. I read through the rules and FAQ but didn't see anything about changing completed tasks which didn't actually have anything wrong with them.
I would read another book to take the place of The Farm for 25.6.
Thanks!

3. It's fine to change your mind about which books you plan to use for which task at any point...just explain in your post if you have already claimed points for a task and are moving that book to another task. All posts to move books must be complete with all required information.

If you have questions about your points on the Readerboard:
1. Make sure that the Readerboard has been updated through the post that you are concerned about.
2. Please check your math.
3. Check to see if one of your posts is listed in this thread with a question. If so, please make a NEW POST in the Completed tasks thread to clear up the question. DO NOT go back and edit the original post. I will not go backwards in the completed task thread to pick up points.
4. To avoid further questions/problems, please refer to the TASK DESCRIPTIONS and the POSTING REQUIREMENTS.
Thank you for helping keep the record keeping for the challenge as manageable as possible.
