Questions/Problems in Completed Tasks

This post is about Golden Oldie tickets ONLY. Task points have been recorded.
We go by the Goodreads record of a book. The GRs record for Savage Island; An Account of a Sojourn in Niu and Tonga reports a publication date of October 13th 2018. If the book was first published on a different date, a GRs librarian will need to update the GRs record for you. You can find the thread where you can ask a GRs librarian to help you with this in the General Help folder.

The edition of In a Sunburned Country you've linked to has 335 pages, not 355. In combination with your other book, this brings your page total to 533, which is short of the 550 pages needed to meet the requirements of the task.

Sure. However you want to fulfill the task requirements is fine.

Thanks! I already found the replacement book: THE WATER IS WIDE by Pat Convoy! I double cheeked the MPG page and it will work for Nonfiction!

Alpha Unit One, New York appears to be an ebook with no print edition. Please see the Rules of the Challenge for instruction on how to use ebooks in the SRC.
ETA -- Never mind. Just got to post 2895

The edition of

There are many Cathys in the SRC. Please repost your tasks with your Readerboard name at the top of your posts.

Task 15.3, option 1 is a 2 book task. To get credit for this task, you must pair the book you've claimed with a 2nd book with the word "Pride" in the title.

I claimed 1 Golden Oldie in #2916 but don't see it on the readerboard. Thanks in advance"
Thanks for letting me know, Cindy! Fixed. ;-)

The book you've linked to was written by David Klass instead of Graham Greene. Please repost your task with a link to the book you read.

Oh...so sorry don't know how I missed that! Will fix my totals and try to see if I can still fit this task

Task 50.1 requires that all the books be written by a single author. Pan's Labyrinth will not work for this task becuase it is a collaboration between two authors (Guillermo del Toro and Cornelia Funke).

Task 10.10 requires that you specify the page of the list on which your book is found when you post. Please repost with the required information.

I did include it in the post. It's at the end of the post for some reason. Do I need to repost and move it up near the book title?

Oh, I see it now. I got to the summary and stopped reading. ;-)
I'm still on the same page, so no need to repost. But, yeah, in the future, up near the book title works much better for the moderators.

Post 2952 wasn't missed. I have task 30.2 recorded for you.
I have:
5.1, 5.2, 5.3, 5.5, 5.10 = 25
10.1, 10.2, 10.5, 10.6, 10.7, 10.8 = 60
15.3, 15.4, 15.8, 15.10 = 60
20.1, 20.2, 20.3, 20.5, 20.6, 20.7, 20.9, 20.10 = 160
25.1, 25.2, 25.3, 25.4, 25.6, 25.8 = 150
30.1, 30.2, 30.4, 30.10 = 120
For a total of 575 points through post 3086. If I've missed some other task, please let me know.

According to the link you've provided, Katie MacAlister was born in March, not August.

Task 20.7 requires that the book you read have one of the MPGs listed beside the number you rolled (as well as having the initial letter of each word can be found in the genre titles). You rolled a 4, which means the book you read for this task must have the MPG Nonfiction or True Story.

Shoot I didn't see that. I'll read another book and repost.

Task 20.10 requires that you participate in the book's discussion thread with at least one post about the contents of the book or your reaction to the book after you have read the book.

All posts, including reposts, must include links to the books you've read. Please repost this task, including links.

Kindle pages are not used in the SRC. From the Challenge Rules: 7. When determining page count, you should go by the copy you read- EXCEPT as noted below for ebooks, audiobooks, and large print books. Therefore, if you obtain (own, borrow, check out from the library, etc.) the hardback edition, use the page count for the hardback edition. If you obtain the paperback edition, use that page count.
If you read an ebook, or audiobook use the page count for the mass market paperback if one exists. If there is no mass market paperback edition, use the paperback edition and if no paperback is available use the hardcover edition.
The paperback edition of Wicked Flames has 443 pages and, therefore, will not work for Task 20.4, option 1.

All SRC 30-point tasks are 2 book tasks. Tasks may only be claimed for points after both books are completed.

My totals don't match Readerboard. I think you forgot my points for Task 20.10.

Whoops! Thanks, Diane Whitney. I got so wrapped up in recording the BB ticket I forgot to add the task points to the spreadsheet! It's fixed on the spreadsheet now and your corrected total will show up in the next update.

Wow, really? I had the links in the post. I wonder what happened? They should have been there. (sigh) I will repost correctly and hopefully the computer gremlins will not wipe them out this time.

Books can only be counted once per challenge. You've claimed Recursion for both task 5.3 and 20.6. For now, I've put the book in task 20.6 and recorded points for that task. If you want to change that, please make a post in the completed task thread indicating where you'd like to move the book.

Ah, sorry about that!!

Generations and Change: genealogical perspectives in social history will not work for Task 15.7. From the Challenge Rules: Only authors that are identified as authors (or a default blank in the author role field), co-authors, or contributors may be used for tasks involving author information. Other roles or functions such as editor, illustrator, artist, translator, introduction, designed by, foreward, preface, assistant or afterword may not be used for author-sourced tasks.

Task 15.4, option 1, book 1 requires that you include the cover when you post.

Found and fixed. Thanks for letting me know! Your corrected total will show up in the next update.

You've previously tried to claim task 20.1 with the same book. It still does not work. Please see message 79 in this thread for further explanation of the problem.

Hi. I think I am missing a golden oldie ticket for post 2856. Thanks."
Fixed! Thanks for letting me know, Janice. Your corrected total will show up in the next update.

Task 15.8 requires that the book you read also have the MPG Mystery, Thriller, or Suspense. At time of review, Aurora Rising has the MPGs:
GENRES
Science Fiction 822 users
Young Adult 657 users
Fantasy 210 users

At time of review, Emily Climbs has the MPG Childrens:
GENRES
Classics 485 users
Fiction 335 users
Young Adult 333 users
Historical > Historical Fiction 132 users
Childrens 102 users
Please refer to the Rules of the Challenge for the information required when posting children's books and repost including that information.

Task 15.7 requires a book with a title that begins with a letter found in ROGUE ONE. A Darker Shade of Magic begins with an A.

Task 20.5 requires a book with a page count greater than 300. Travel as a Political Act has 209 pages.

Task 25.5 requires the combined page total for both books to be at least 550 pages. The books you've claimed add up to 535 pages.

Indeed, I did. Thanks, Aprilleigh. I've added them to the spreadsheet and your corrected total will show up in the next update.

I do not see Black Sheep anywhere around #24 of the required list."
It's definitely there. The task asks for the page number not the actual number of the book which I think you might be thinking #24 refers to. The number of the book is #2249 at the present moment.

Ah, thanks! I definitely read that one wrong. Whoops! I fixed the others you mentioned, thanks for your time in verifying all of these!

The edition of Happy Days: My Mother, My Father, My Sister & Me you've linked to does not have any genres on its main page. If you read another edition, please repost your task with a link to the edition you read.
