Almost to the finish line! But I still plan on reading Harry Potter and the Cursed Child: Parts One and Two
Any Joyce Carol Oats readers? I just finished her disturbing little "A Fair Maiden." So many of her books explore the complicated relationship women experience with the "modern" world. This is no exception.
Still working through Mexican Gothic, The Girl From The Well, & Livia Lone. A bit heavy all of them(￣▽￣*)ゞ so it's taking a while
Anyone else reading Plain Bad Heroines? It's taking me a while to get through it. Very meta, and lots of queer representation. And weird.

Loved some aspects of it, embraced the weird, but the format and narration became annoying! Curious to hear your thoughts.
I also just finished Ring Shout, which is amazing.
I haven't been able to focus on finishing this book but it IS AMAZING. Hopefully I'll be able to shut down the brain and finish it tonight/tomorrow. The Fourth Whore
I'm currently reading
It's a military series set in a zombie plague. I tell you, I never thought I'd get caught up in a military-style zombie series, but the ARISEN series is awesome. I've read all the original ARISEN series and was stoked to see the author start a new series in the same...series? World LOL. It's other military teams caught up in the same zombie series world. highly recommend if you like a lot of action, zombies, and brotherhood.
What's everyone been reading?I'm currently reading this one Inheriting Her Ghosts and it is spectacular!

Just finished Sorrowland.There's a lot to unpack there. Also House of Salt and Sorrows, which is YA, a horrific story based on the Twelve Dancing Princesses.
I just started V. Castro’s new book- Queen of the Cicadas. Read Goddess of Filth a couple months ago and practically inhaled it, one of my new favourite authors!

- it's more fantasy than horror so far, but great characters and setting.
The Queen of the Cicadas This is an incredible read! I'm at the midpoint, and it's full of complex characters, myth and urban legend. Very atmospheric. The story moves between a modern and historical storyline, and it's really well done... can't wait to finish...
