Cynthia Troncquo (cynthiatroncquo) Hi I'm Cynthia, 19, and live in Belgium! (Long live chocolate).
Favorite book of all time? Jeez...So much to choose of! It's like asking a mother her favorite child...Well I'll say Angelfall by Susan Ee, just because I have to make a cut ;)
"I'm in love with cities I've never been to and people I've never met.(Paper Towns, John Green)" Is my favorite quote because it's so true! For me at least.
The books I most look forward to read this year, to only choose 3, are: Penryn & The End Of Days book 3, The Young Elites and Red Queen.

:D

message 3: by Laura ✨ (new)

Laura ✨ Hello! My name is Laura, I'm 20 years old and I'm from Holland. My favorite book of all time changes a lot. I read Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell a little while ago and I really liked that. But I also really like The Mortal Instruments series by Cassandra Clare. My favorite quote is “I told her once I wasn’t good at anything. She told me survival is a talent.” ― Susanna Kaysen, Girl, Interrupted. And I'm really looking forward to reading half-blood. It sounds like a book that I would really like. But the rest sounds good too! Unfortunately, I'll have to skip September since I already read Angelfall, but I can't wait to discuss it with the rest of the group. :)

message 11: by Priya (last edited Sep 02, 2014 02:08AM) (new)

Priya Appleby (priyapiggle) | 4 comments Hi :D I'm Priya! I live in Birmingham in the UK and I'm 15.

I have SO MANY favourite books, I love Harry Potter, the Throne of Glass series, The Hunger Games trilogy and SO MANY MORE! However my top two books are probably The Fault in Our Stars by John Green and Only Ever Yours by Louise O'Neill!

The bookclub book I'm most looking forward to reading..... probably Half-Blood! I've heard loads of awesome things about Jennifer Armentrout so I hope I'll really enjoy it :P

My favourite quote... hmmmmmm... I have so many! Most of my favourite 'quotes' are just big chunks of dialogue but one of the shorter ones is from Allegiant:

“There are so many ways to be brave in this world. Sometimes bravery involves laying down your life for something bigger than yourself, or for someone else. Sometimes it involves giving up everything you have ever known, or everyone you have ever loved, for the sake of something greater.

But sometimes it doesn't.

Sometimes it is nothing more than gritting your teeth through pain, and the work of every day, the slow walk toward a better life.

That is the sort of bravery I must have now.”

Also, does anyone have a bookish blog? I'd love to find more blogs to follow! Mine is http://priyapiggle.wordpress.com/

Zareena (zareenatheslantedbookshelf) | 13 comments Hi everybody, my name is Zareena. I'm a 16 year old blogger and I'm in the UK. I really don't have a favourite book! There are so many to choose from but anything by Jennifer L. Armentrout, Cassandra Clare, or Ilona Andrews can be on that list :)

And one favourite quote is: "I'm oxygen and he's dying to breathe." from Shatter Me by Tahereh Mafi. But of course if I can't pick a favourite book there's no way on earth I'll be able to choose a favourite quote.

And I think I'm most excited to reading Red Rising because while I do love Half Blood with all my heart, everybody says Red Rising is freaking fantastic!

message 33: by Martina (new)

Martina Hello everyone!
I'm Martina, I'm 18 and I'm from Italy.
I can't really choose my favorite book, it's a tie between The Shadow of The Wind and The Night Circus.
Victoria Schwab wrote my favorite quote of all time in The Unbound: (Go read if you haven't, seriously, everyone needs a bit of Wesley Ayers in their life)"Everything that rises will fall. Empires, societies, governments. None of them last forever. Why? Because even though they are the products of change, they become resistant to change. The longer a society survives, the more it clings to its power, and the more it resists progress. The more it resists progress- resists change- the more its citizens demand it. In response, the society tighten it grip, desperate to mantain control. It's afraid ot losing its hold".
Since I've already read Angelfall and The Giver, I'm really looking forward to reading Half Blood and -especially- Red Rising, since it's been talked about a lot recently.
