Each number corresponds with the spot on the board.
For colors: The cover has to be at least 50%
For locations: As long as the book takes part at all in the given location .
For Shelves: Any book on the given shelf
For Publication Years: I'll be using how GR has it's publication date listed.
For Authors Names: The first, middle, or last name of the author is ok.
For Cover Items: Must have the given item on the cover
For Titles: Only the first word of the title. A, An, And, and The do not count.
So if the letter is B: The Best Day would be ok. Dear Betty would not be ok.

This is my first time doing this so I'll do my best to keep up. I hear this game is a lot of fun so can't wait to get started!

A brand-new player of this challenge here..
Hi Teamies ! *hi5*
Excited.. Intrigued.. Glad ! :)

I'm in the pacific time zone, so I can roll at 10:01 pm PST on roll nights, which sometimes can give us an advantage if everyone finishes their reviews in time.
I'll start thinking of some team name ideas!
(view spoiler)

I'll get my thinking cap on for some suggestions for team names too..
As Pooh says...think...think...think....

Team Names suggestions
Toxic Slayers
Knockout Flyers
Varvasious Veluptuous and oh so Venomous Vixens
Awesome Tornadoes
Series Mashers
Series Busters
Team 8 Mutants

Its wonderful to have your experience amonsgst us, Paris. This is gonna be fun ! :)

Wicked Octagonals
Psychotic Librarian Tramps
Brilliant High Scorgasms
Crazy Eights Explorers
Renegade Perusers

Paris, I too support your candidacy for captainship :D. And I'd be happy to help as well as I can if you happen to need help with anything.
I'm really bad at coming up with creative names, I like Renegade Perusers quite a lot, or we could make it Renegeight Perusers if we have to have the number :).

I just think, that will help us align things well and we can have a 'number' to the deadline.

Apoorv, to answer your question. If everyone on the team has their books read and their reviews posted by Thursday, then I can actually roll Thursday night as long as it's after 10 pm my time (Pacific Standard Time). Does that make sense? I will always roll at that time, unless we don't have our reviews in OR I've got some kind of prior engagement (although I work early on Friday's, so that's not likely).
I see Apoorv and Elena are East Coasters, so I'll be rolling after 1 am your time, but that just means y'all will wake up to the roll and can pick your book as soon as you get up (or have a chance after that). Or if you're night owls, then you can pick your book before bed.

That sounds like a plan, Paris. Since its Thursday night, I think I will check the roll after waking up and will select the book over the day on Friday.
Its good that we have fixed a time, so its easier to keep track and we all sail in the same boat essentially. :)

I was wondering whether it matters when the book was started. If I start a book on Thursday and finish on Saturday could it still be used if it fits the bill or we can only count books started after the dice roll?

I have a suggestion: Series Slayers

My top choices are RenegEIGHT Perusers and Series Busters/Slayers.

Tonight, I rolled a 5 so you can either read the 5th book in a series or a book with a title that starts with R. Remember that A, An, And, and The do not count and again the book has to be at least 150 pages.
I'm going to read

(Red Fox seems to move at a much quicker pace than the first book - Darkhouse)
I love Karina Halle's other series too - Sins & Needles. Have you read that one?

Sorry you were late for work but the rest of the series will be harder to put down. Lol

HaHa! There are worse problems!

I will be reading

And I added Darkhouse to my TBR following your discussion here, Paris and Kristin :)
