Each number corresponds with the spot on the board.
For colors: The cover has to be at least 50%
For locations: As long as the book takes part at all in the given location .
For Shelves: Any book on the given shelf
For Publication Years: I'll be using how GR has it's publication date listed.
For Authors Names: The first, middle, or last name of the author is ok.
For Cover Items: Must have the given item on the cover
For Titles: Only the first word of the title. A, An, And, and The do not count.
So if the letter is B: The Best Day would be ok. Dear Betty would not be ok.

Thanks for volunteering! I would but I work a lot and between my crafting business and three kids on top of work I wouldn't be a very great team captain. :-(

I will be keeping an eye on the thread for the roll. I'm really excited to pick my book for this week and see what everyone else will be reading. ^_^

Wicked ♥ (Wickedly Bookish Reviews) aka Bat-Jess That was actually a lot easier than I thought!

My theme: Set In New York

I've been wanting to read this one for awhile now, but haven't had the motivation or the right challenge to stick it to.

Roll 1: Space 8
Pup (Guards of Folsom, #1) by S.J.D. Peterson
Book: Pup* by S.J.D. Peterson (Alternate: Set in New York)
Finished: 9/1
Rating & Review: ★★★½
I am unsure if it is the books or the writing style, but I have difficulty connecting with this author's characters. With the exception of Law, Paolo & Styx, the MCs never fully draw me into their plights.

In this book Tackett Austin is going through a sexual mid-life crisis. He sees his friends settling down and begins yearning for that kind of joy and permanence. As he celebrates his birthday, the flirtatious bartender Micah Slayde makes it very obvious that Tackett is a Dom he would like to submit to. But Tackett isn't looking for a plaything, so now Micah has to prove to Tackett that Micah truly wants to be his boy.

Again, the story was okay. Micah truly was a scatterbrain. No wonder none of his prior doms would collar him. I am glad Tackett was patient and also took time to learn how Micah ticks. It was intense but a satisfying journey for both.

I will read book 2 because I already bought it, but I would like to try another series to see if it's the author's writing style that leaves me wanting a little more depth.

Book: Murder on Astor Place by Victoria Thompson
Finished: 9/3
Rating: 5 stars
Review: Wow. Just, wow. Great mystery, superb characters, and tightly paced to boot. It was all I ever wanted out of a historical mystery! There were plentiful red herrings that served to narrow down the pool of suspects as the case progressed, and it only added to the fun of determining the real killer. Just when I thought I had it all figured out, Thompson still had one last trick up her sleeve. I love this genre so much, and I'm so excited that I found it through Goodreads. I'd never heard of this series before and I simply fell in love with Sarah and Malloy. No real romance in this one, but loads of possibility for the future, so I'm excited to read on.
