Description Book One: I'm not all that special, really. Or uncommon. I'm sure there are a lot of girls with old gypsy blood who see the dead, have killer cults hunting their family, and turn into something that gets scary when they panic. Yep. Completely unoriginal, if I do say so myself.
Move along. Nothing to see here. Nope. I'm just an ordinary girl.

It took my mother's death for me to finally start getting answers about what's really been going on. Unfortunately, most of the answers come from men...who aren't just men. Somehow, I've gone and landed myself in a world truly filled with monsters, and I'm starting to think this is where I should have been all along.

Only...I don't understand what's going on. I'm walking into the middle of a story that's thousands of years old, and I'm the new girl on the block who doesn't have a clue how this world even works. My only guides happen to be the most lethal of the bunch.

They decide who lives or dies. They decide who gets stabbed or tortured.
Yeah...

I've gone and drawn attention to myself, and the ones paying attention are the ones everyone else seems to fear.

I get that they each think if they show the others how much they care about her that it will make them vulnerable, but aren't we past that already? And do they really not know her at all? Of course, she is finding a way to listen in on their conversation. Stupid boys! I'm especially disappointed in Arion and Damien - you would think the later would just be so overjoyed to be able to ejaculate that he would be her new best friend. (hide spoiler)]

Tierra, I was able to read the first two books over the weekend, but couldn't post comments until today. I plan on continuing the series, but don't feel like you have to rush or anything. I'm chill.

And why does he think he will be able to "manage" her when she rises? She sounds to me like a bitch that is going to do whatever she wants and the other three have it right to be worried. Finished - (view spoiler)[ How the heck does Vance keep losing these caskets that they keep talking about? He seems like a meticulous guy - you would think that he would notice that a bunch of these big magical boxes go missing. I'm also getting tired of all this omega/beta/alpha talk, especially since they seem to have it all wrong and people are acting differently than they are supposed to. Totally not worried about her getting kidnapped right now, though I am curious why she always seems to have trouble with the wolves. The vamps got her once, but no morpheous monsters are bothering her, nor Van Helsing (I'm not sure what they would do to her, hunt her??). Anyway, it seems suspicious that it is always the wolves coming after her and I don't think it is just because Emit has been lax in his management of the pack. Could there be someone else pulling these strings? Perhaps the cult leader? (hide spoiler)]
