A warm welcome on a cold March day to matilde and Brittany! *waves
Congrats to you, Amy, on finishing your first book. That was fast! :D

@Dee I'm always loving the various seasonal and thematic images you post! Congrats on the birth of your grandchild!
@Diane I..."
Thank you Oshizu! Lol, appetizers might be my second favorite thing after books! :D I clicked on yours a while ago to see what it is. I love dragonflies, so cute!

Wow, Carmen, 25 books! Nice job finishing your first two!
Amanda, gratz on finishing your first book and reaching your halfway mark!

Gratz on your first mystery for this challenge, too, Crystal!

Progress: 2/8
✔️1. By an author of color: My Sister, the Serial Killer (Oyinkan Braithwaite)
✔️2. 2018 Lambda Literary Award/Lesbian Mystery: Huntress (A. E. Radley)
I really enjoyed these two books, both of which felt like quick reads.
Huntress was quite fun and very funny, surprisingly. It's labeled "lesbian mystery," but it's not romance. There's only the occasional blushing and internal "Is she flirting with me?"
I gave them both four stars.

@Allie
First week, first book! Great progress, Allie!

@Kristin
Your book isn't a traditional mystery but, still, the author deals with the mystery of Mme Victoria's identity.
I like the book's unconventional literary treatment of a "cold case."
Please count it!

Fuzzy Navel (Jack Daniels #5)
Big Lake Brewpub (Big Lake #9)
Cherry Bomb (Jack Daniels #6)
Big Lake Abduction (Big Lake #10)

Mine was kind of like that, not a "mystery" in the traditional sense. A Kiss Before Dying, there is no guessing the criminal because it is clearly stated, but none of the other characters know.

Yay, a big welcome to ⚜Chalmation⚜ and Sunny!
Gratz to Kristin, Amy, Carmen, Jeanine, and Charity for making progress!

A Most Peculiar Malaysian Murder, Shamini Flint finished 3/27
Girl Waits With Gun, Amy Stewart finished 3/15

Gratz to Jess, Sunny, Kiwi Begs2Differ, and Carmen on their recent progress!

Does that mean that you enjoy reading food-related mysteries?
I'll be reading my first culinary mystery this month. I checked a listopia on them and hope I picked a good one. (^_^)
For this month: State of the Onion
For next quarter's Globetrotter challenge: Treachery in Bordeaux

Great progress, everyone!
If you think you can hear a bit of music in the background, it's because I'm doing a little happy dance.
Gratz to Mie for being the first to finish this monthly challenge. 🌹

Duration: March 1 - 31, 2019
Progress: 0/3
A mystery that has been adapted into a movie, play, or TV show: You by Caroline Kepnes Currently reading

Suggestions: A mystery...
That has been adapted into a movie, play, or TV show
Written by a female author - The Chalk Man by C.J. Tudor (currently reading)
Featuring an amateur sleuth
Based on a true crime
That was a Goodreads Choice winner or finalist
Written by an author of color
Written in or translated from a language other than English
That's considered a howdunit (rather than the more common, whodunit)
That fits into a subgenre that you do not often read. E.g., cozy mystery, heist, caper, police procedural, true crime, medical mystery, legal mystery, child-in-peril, historical, hard-boiled detective, etc

Many of you are getting ever closer to your personal finish lines!
Gratz to Amanda and Kristin for completing Mysterious March! Yay!
