I'm in a bit of a funk and I would love something that makes me big belly laugh.

Terry Pratchett's The Color of Magic is hilarious, especially if you read a lot of fantasy/SF: he loves messing with the tropes. For some more gentle humor, whenever I'm in a funk I love to revisit Blandings Castle, starting with Something Fresh.
The Martian by Andy Weir (although dramatic in spots) is also funny. The Martian The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy
Cold Comfort Farm by Stella Gibbons Cold Comfort Farm
(If YA is okay) The Alfred G. Graebner Memorial High School Handbook of Rules and Regulations by Ellen Conford The Alfred G. Graebner Memorial High School Handbook of Rules and Regulations
I don't read many funny books, I'm a murder mystery type mostly, but this had me LMAO😁One for the Money by Janet Evanovich
One of the funniest books that I have read is about a young British couple's misadventures when they buy an abandoned almond farm in Spain. How Not To Live Abroad~
Hilarious stories about events in the Appalachians~ Tales From South Of The Mountain~
and my FAV romantic comedies~
Medicus and the Disappearing Dancing Girls by R S Downie appealed to my sense of humour- and is part of a series .
Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun always makes me laugh aloud 🥰Monthly Girls' Nozaki-kun, Vol. 1
If you want a humorous genre combo, I'd recommend The Wisteria Society of Lady Scoundrels
I suggest one of the series of collections of funny short fiction, because something<\i> in there will be what yoy want, guaranteed!!They start: Unidentified Funny Objects
Unidentified Funny Objects 2
'The first third' (cant find the link) or The 100-Year-Old Man Who Climbed Out the Window and DisappearedOr for a classic- The Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy
I liked One Plus One by Jojo Moyes. Chick-lit romantic comedy.Scifi - the Vorkosigan novels by Bujold - it's a long series, but the first two in particular - Warrior's Apprentice, The Warrior's Apprentice and the Vor game are both farces in the best sense of the word.
Plot TwistMy Roommate Is a Vampire
Well Met
Your Guide to Not Getting Murdered in a Quaint English Village
The Stupidest Angel: A Heartwarming Tale of Christmas Terror
