Austin, my reticence in trying JG is even more superficial than judging a book by its cover. I once saw a talk on YouTube between JG and Stephen King, and Grisham came off as rather... normal, instead of an artist. But if there is a buddy read, I'll read one of the early JG novels.

Hmmm. On the other hand, I can't bear books by Stephen King, as you may know by now.
Mostly early JG novels are in our library. Also saw a book by David Baldacci - The Winner.

Baldacci is no longer a favourite with me. King has written mostly meh books in my opinion. Do you read e-books?

If it's a short story like, say, Carmilla I can read it in an e-book. Otherwise, i find it tiring. I wear glasses btw.

Okay, I didn't know that. Will go watch some anime now.

Wow. That's one long book I believe."
Yes, approximately 1000 pages.

Greene is one of my favorite authors. His characters are complex and flawed. 4/5

No God but God: The Origins, Evolution and Future of Islam by Reza Aslan

I have read Dune #1 and #2 and am looking for a buddy to read #3

If anyone is interested, please notify.
Thanks!

I have recently read How to Win Friends and Influence People so those parts of the book were repetitive for me but what kept is the How to Stop Worrying and Start Living: Time-Tested Methods for Conquering Worry parts of the book.

Will be posting my progress here -

The author was a writer before becoming a therapist, and it shows.

I started a challange to read the top 5 religions in the world. as part of this, it is 3rd religion Im reading.

Post Office by Charles Bukowski. Bukowski’s semi-autobiographical, irreverent anecdotes from working a dead-end job, getting drunk and chasing women. I loved it.

We can have a JA buddy read in future if interested. You, me and Luffy are interested in JA books. There are many JA books in our office library, barring the latest ones.
Luffy, you should also think about trying books by John Grisham. Even though they are legal thrillers, basically, there are many similarities between JG and JA books. JG books may have dull book covers but let not that be your sole criteria for rejecting his books.
