Dirty Little Secrets by Jo Spain 5★review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
I'm having a bit of a Shaun Tan binge at the moment. Having just finished The Lost Thing I can state that his books should not be restricted to children, no matter what age the sticker attached by the library suggests. So much talent! But oldies like me do need to get out the magnifiers to appreciate all the little details on each page.

I'm making my way through South Australian author Stephen Orr's novels. Attempts to Draw Jesus is his debut novel, based on real events. A powerful read. 4★s

I was expecting some thrilling inside secrets about MI5 from this memoir of the 1950s but found it quite light, although entertaining. (Some of the characters would have been right at home in Mick Herron's Slough House.)
MI5 and Me: A Coronet Among the Spooks by Charlotte Bingham 3.5★review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
Sewing the Rainbow: The Story of Gilbert Baker and the Rainbow Flag, by Gayle E. Pitman, shows kids how Gilbert did a Dorothy-Oz move from Kansas to San Francisco, where he was an activist for all the sparkly kids like himself.
