Kristiana | 10 comments Hi!
I'd like to join this challenge. But before, i want to ask. Do we have to make a review for the books we read? Because i rarely make them. And not a good one too xD
Thank you so much.

I need help with the prompt Labor, can you help with suggestions?

Hi Marta!
Here are some suggestions I came up with:
- Built (Saints of Denver, #1) by Jay Crownover
- Something in the Way (Something in the Way, #1) by Jessica Hawkins
- Wait for It by Mariana Zapata
- Arrogant Devil by R.S. Grey
- Wait With Me (Wait with Me, #1) by Amy Daws
- Crank (The Gibson Boys, #1) by Adriana Locke (this whole series is actually marketed as a "blue collar" series
- Truth or Beard (Winston Brothers, #1) by Penny Reid
- Sexy Stranger by Kendall Ryan
- Shameless by Lex Martin
- Down London Road (On Dublin Street, #2) by Samantha Young

I hope you'll be able to find a book that interests you among these!
Happy reading :)

Hey Kristiana!
No, reviews are not requested for this challenge! What is required is:
- link and/or cover of the book cover next to the letter,
- the date the book was read,
- how many stars you award the book
- if needed, brief explanation of how the book fits the particular challenge point (example if the prompts requests you to read a book with "age gap" you can say: "there's a 15 years gap" or "the heroine is 18 and the hero is 27")

Hi Gina!
There are 2 people named "Gina" among the participants (you and another Gina!). You are participant #111
If you click on that name, you'll see that the link is correct and it will redirect you to your challenge!
Please let me know if you need further help :)

Donna (pigsandbooks) | 8 comments Hi, I just read The Bromance Book Club by Lyssa Kay Adams. I was wondering if this could be classified as a New Adult? I didn't see it in the Top Shelves, but I did see adult romance and erotica.

Hi Donna,
sorry for the late reply, I didn't get the notification for your message.
I've read The Bromance Book Club and I would classify it as "adult". However, I've checked the top shelves on GR and it has been tagged "new adult" by 17 people, so you can definitely use it for the challenge!

Kristiana | 10 comments Hi again,
I'm entering 2 reading challenge in two group. May I use the same book that fit with both prompts in two different group? I'm asking the same question in the other group too 🙈
Thank you 😊

I was wondering whether polyamory is considered to be part of LGBTQ? I'm a little uncertain about that.

Plus, are books written in another language valid?

Hi Kristiana,
you definitely can use the same books in another challenge!

Chiara | 531 comments Lana wrote: "Hello!

Hey Lana,
I think it depends on the polyamorous relationship. It can be considered LGBTQ+ if there is a romantic/sexual relationship between people of the same sex.
Instead, if for example the relationship is between one girl and two guys but the two guys don't have any kind of romantic involvement with each other then probably I would say it's not an LGBTQ+.

Chiara | 531 comments ☆Tweety ~ purplebass ☆ wrote: "Is still a NA romance if just one of the characters is under 25?

Hi Tweety!
For the age it depends..a NA book is not only related to the characters' age. If you want you can tell me the title of the book you're referring to and I can check it out for you.
For the language absolutely yes..even if the book is not in English it's valid for the challenge

message 117: by ✨ tweety ✨ (new)

✨ tweety ✨ (purplebass) | 155 comments Hey! The book is Chasing Cassandra by Lisa Kleypas. I have read it already but didn't add it in my 2020 challenge because I consider it non-NA, even if the main female protagonist is 21 if I recall. I had a doubt because it was in the non-contemporary March poll, this is why I asked if it counted

I haven't read it yet (it's on my March TBR since it's our non-contemporary book of the month), but I believe it can be considered NA. It's true that the hero is older, but the heroine is in her early twenties and, according to the blurb, she's looking for a husband (so she's not already an adult married woman).
The book is not explicitly tagged "new adult" so maybe it's a bit of a stretch, but it's rare for historical romances to be tagged NA, even if the age of the characters or the theme of the book can be considered NA.

message 119: by Antonella (new)

Antonella I have an issue with finding romance author with my initials A.D. and one that writes NA well it is impossible. What to do?

message 120: by Chiara (new)

Chiara | 531 comments Antonella wrote: "I have an issue with finding romance author with my initials A.D. and one that writes NA well it is impossible. What to do?"

Hey Antonella!
If you cannot find an author that has both your name and surname initials, you can use a book by an author who has either your name or your surname initials.

message 121: by Lana (new)

Lana | 54 comments Hi again!
Quick question about updating our challenge post.
Do we need to write an explanation of how the book fits the prompt for every prompt? Some are pretty self-explanatory, or just my opinion (i.e. enemies to lovers story, or a book I got for free, or a character I couldn't stand).
Also, I'm running out of characters for the post so im trying to keep it simple! Should I make a whole different post and split my prompts?

Hi Lana!
If the prompt is self explanatory you don't need to mention it! In case there's something that is not clear to me I will ask you questions about it at the end of the year. In case you run our of characters you can split your challenge in 2 separate comments.

About the "fraternity book", a group of friends living in the same house, can be considered?

Hi Marta!
Friends who live in the same apartment unfortunately don't fit the prompt "fraternity".
For this prompt, the character (or characters) needs to be part of a fraternity. It's not compulsory for them to live in a fraternity house. They can also live somewhere else, the important thing is that they're members of a fraternity.

Hey Lana!
Here are some recommendation for the prompt "book set in the past":
We Were Here (Modern Love Stories, #1) by Daisy Prescott
One Day by David Nicholls
Something in the Way (Something in the Way, #1) by Jessica Hawkins
Bringing Down the Duke (A League of Extraordinary Women, #1) by Evie Dunmore
The Mall by Megan McCafferty (this one is tagged YA but the characters are 18 and about to go to college so technically it could be considered NA)
Althea & Oliver by Cristina Moracho
Daisy Jones & The Six by Taylor Jenkins Reid (this one is probably more adult than NA but it's tagged NA so it counts)

I hope you'll find something you like :)

ALPHABET: Read a book written by an author who has your initials
Truly by Carmel Rhodes | 12/22 | ⭐⭐⭐⭐ | Author's name is Carmel and my name is Chiara

I hope it helps! Let me know if you need more information :)
