NancyJ (nancyjjj) | 11061 comments The Updated summary of remaining Buddy reads as of October 30 is on page 4, message #167.

------------------------
Edited Dec 29 PM. Many books for the Trim the TBR challenge were selected by multiple people, which opens the possibility for buddy reads (discussions) when the books are selected. Here are the matches that were reported or coordinated before Dec 27. If you have other buddy reads arranged, please let me know so I can add it to the list.

Note - This is an unofficial summary. Be sure to list all your choices on your own Challenge Tracking thread. Contact the moderators if you have questions about the challenge, changes, etc

Please help me to clean up the list by providing the correct book links, or by adding or deleting names.

#16 Invisible Bridge - Amy, Jo..."

Nancy I am out for Invisible Bridge, as my library does not have it-However they do have Ladder to the sky so I am in for that one.

Also, there are 2 or 3 of us that have Lies of Locke Lamora on our list and plan a buddy read if picked. And I believe it is Barbara that also has These My Words and her list and I plan that one too. # 2 is locked in place(22 Brittania Road) for me and Nicole I think.

Thanks so much for organizing this!! That's very helpful.

message 13: by [deleted user] (new)

Barbara & I both have The Cellist of Sarajevo at #7 now. Would it be easier if we changed our number for the book so that the Rebecca buddy read has that number?

message 14: by Booknblues (last edited Dec 23, 2018 03:15PM) (new)

Booknblues | 12049 comments I have From Sand and Ash at number 12 with somebody else, I think it is Amy. Double checked and it is Amy. So if you want to change the number let me know.

I'd like to add Educated, but would need to use another number or get the okay from Amy to change..

message 15: by Booknblues (last edited Dec 23, 2018 05:08PM) (new)

Booknblues | 12049 comments I wanted to take the time to add some of books on my list which are pretty popular in case anyone wants to coordinate with me:

1. The White Tiger - somebody else has this a s number 1, as well
4. Ghana Must Go
13. Lily and the Octopus
18. Just One Damned Thing After Another
22. Hillbilly Elegy: A Memoir of a Family and Culture in Crisis
24.The Girl Who Smiled Beads: A Story of War and What Comes After
25.Where'd You Go, Bernadette

Amy | 12912 comments I’m pretty much staying put with numbers.

message 18: by Amy (new)

Amy | 12912 comments Sounds like they aren't budging on Educated as 12.... Let me look at shifting my 11 and 12. I haven't heard the number 11 come up even once!

message 19: by Amy (new)

Amy | 12912 comments Because I a) want to be flexible and b) would love to read this book with you. Maybe if its number 11, it will get picked. 1/3 the chance for all of the numbers.... Not bad odds....

message 20: by Booknblues (new)

Booknblues | 12049 comments Amy, I've moved From Sand and Ash to 11, Educated is 12 and now Lilly and the Octopus is 13.

So we are good. I;ve changed and added quite a few so hopefully some of them will be chosen. It is going to be fun to have bookbuddies for this.

I was out shopping so I didn't see any of this. There are a lot of numbers so I'm sure we'll figure it out. Please let me know the connections you've already made so I can get it on list. I'm not sure where there is a conflict. Thanks!

Just to confirm, yes, the one by Amy Harmon.

I am also modifying my list to include Educated by Tara Westover at #12.

message 40: by Amy (new)

Amy | 12912 comments I haven’t gone anywhere near educated. Even though everybody loves it and it’s been a five star read, and even my horoscope tells me this is the book for me. Would you believe I’m toying with moving my number 12 around for it? In number 12 I have the emperor of shoes. Here’s what I’ll do. If number 12 is packed, I will read the emperor of shoes, and I will consider reading educated too. You heard it here!

I heard the emperor has no clothes haha. Educated isn't too full, so why not join us? The more the merrier.
EDIT -Oops - I read "packed" as in full, but I think you meant "picked"
