Read-a-Thon #4 - Team 3 Group Discussion
The second board has been posted. The tasks are cumulative so all totals are for the entirety of the read-a-thon. I did break the "game" task in two so that you could uncover #17.

Thank-you! I thought we’d have to finish every task on the first one before the second would become active!!
I considered that but this gives teams a chance to apply some books to cover/title prompts that are already filled on the first board. The page count/hours tasks tend to take longer.
I have finished Wonder. It adds 110 pages to my total. It is in my ATY challenge and could count for the child main character prompt or author debut book.I am going to take a look at the prompts to see what to read next!
I have decided to start No Exit, which will fit the wintry cover, published in Dec or Jan, or author that starts with J, A, or N prompts.Everyone is doing awesome!
Read 208 pages to finish off Most Wanted, which was for the ATY challenge and I also played today's Synonyms/Antonyms game.
Okay...I read My French Whore today (Title with N-E-W in it OR author'debut). 178 pagesI finished Peep Show by Joshua Braff (Author with a name that starts with J). 56 pages
I read My Name is Lucy Barton (published in January OR read in one sitting). 191 Pages
Total pages: 425
Good morning, team 3! Exciting that we have a new board. I finished Bobla which can count for #26, wintery cover as it has snow on all the rooftops. 284 pages.
I haven’t read any of the books for our first board, so that makes it hard guessing the connection.
Progress update:Good morning! Started my day with coffee, and finished Mad About the Boy.
Started listening to Pax.
-Finishing Mad About The Boy fulfills a prompt for my ATY challenge,
-My morning listen adds 2 more hours of listening to an audiobook.
I haven't read ANY of the books on the first board, so I can't comment on Hilde's guess.
Forgot to update last night so here is my total for yesterday.50 pages of Einstein's Theories of Relativity and Gravitation
1 hr 16 min of Anansi Boys
I’ve done some updating and added in most of the new board categories to the spreadsheet, but I do not think I have the right numbers for total books completed. In your next post, could each member clearly state the total number of books finished so far, and the number that counted as ATY books? Thanks! Also, we can uncover squares 26, 32, 35, 36, and 47 on the new board!
I read most of Still Life with Tornado last night and just finished it. It matches at least 2 reject prompts from this year, so I’m counting it for square 29.
Total Books Read to date: 11 (8 books for the max # I can contribute, 2 in audio for my 13 hours, and 1 children's book).Total Pages 1887 (I did not count the two audio books toward that total for our group page count. Those 2 books went to the audio hours).
Hope this helps!
Oh! No ATY books. I finished mine a few months ago.
I have read 3 books so far. I have stated that 2 were for the ATY challenge, but I did manage to put all 3 in it, so if you need 3, now that there is a second board, use all 3.
I do not know my page count off the top of my head. Let me know if you need me to get that, and I will!
Thanks Chrissy!

Perhaps a specific award ;)

Hello everyone. Here are my updates. I didn’t get much reading done.- Read 84 more pages and finished The Pearl. This can count as an ATY challenge book.
- Listened to 30 mins of audiobook (Harry Potter: A History of Magic)
Total page count: 1154
Since my last update, I listened to another 4 hours of audiobook. Total number of book read: 3
All 3 are for my ATY challenge
Hi team! I listened to two more hours of audio since my last update.
Total number of books read is 2 (not including the picture books). I haven’t stated any of them as AtY reads, but both fit. One I managed to actually use in my challenge and the other fits the first perspective prompt.
Great work everyone :)
I went to a really fun party yesterday, and my head is paying the price today.. probably won’t get much reading done today ☺️
As a general update, all books in board 1 have been guessed correctly, along with the connection (All winners of the Walter Scott Prize for historical fiction)
There have been correct guesses for board 2 but I will hold off for a little while on revealing titles and authors just in case some members want to continue guessing.

Update for yesterdayI read another 50 pages of Einstein's Theories of Relativity and Gravitation
I also listened to another 1 hr and 14 min of Anansi Boys
+179 pages. finished Out of Africa
total books read: 4
books for ATY challenge: 4
This can also count for the read-a-thon prompt 44. A Non-Fiction Book
I have started Reading Murder at the Vicarage. It is the first of Christie's Miss Marple books, so when I finish we can count it for
42. Read a book that is first in a series
I read the last 71 pages of Einstein's Theories of Relativity and Gravitation. That is 2 books I have completed now.I will search my books for the graphic novel task.
I accomplished a lot today! I finished off the last 105 pages of Sanctum, read all of Nimona (graphic novel, 272 pages), and read 253 pages of Want to Go Private?. All of those were for the ATY challenge. I also did the Lost Characters game. Can't remember if I mentioned doing the Book Emojis game yesterday, but I've done that one as well.
Good morning, team! I read the first short story from the collection Vinternoveller/(Winter Stories). Beautiful story that can check off square #45; finish a story in one sitting. The story was called ‘Vi kan ikke hjelpe alle’, losely translated it would be ‘We can not help them all’. 29 pages.
I see that this collection is planned to be released in English in February 2019, and for those of you that like short stories I can really recommend her collections, they are excellent. Hopefully this means that they will also translate more of her works in the future.
Finished The Voyage of the Dawn Treader for my AtY challenge, which adds 3 more audio hours (total 6 hours audio). It can work towards one of the books needed for the children’s books. Books completed are now 3.
Edit: it could potentially work for task #28 metallic on the cover instead of the children book task. What do you think?
Laura wrote: "Your boards have been updated :)"Our board is missing this one!
39. Listen to 75 hours of audiobook (max 13 hours per team member
Is the board missing it or is the spreadsheet? I don't see it on the spreadsheet but is it completed?
Laura wrote: "Your boards have been updated :)"Thanks, Laura :)
I have a guess for the bottom book in the left corner:
(view spoiler)
Laura wrote: "Is the board missing it or is the spreadsheet? I don't see it on the spreadsheet but is it completed?"Oops! It is missing from the spreadsheet. We have not completed it. I do know that I have more than maxed out my 13 hours of listening though.
I didn’t take the time to add #39 to my spreadsheet because I do t think we’ll complete it at the rate we are going! If that changes, of course I can insert it.
Ira wrote: "I finished In Cold Blood yesterday for the AtY challenge. I count on finishing War and Peace today"What’s your page count?
