I think I fixed it... feel free to doublecheck and get back to me... it was the most common problem the sheet has... new rows getting added and the hidden column Q not having the month formula we use to make sure to only count books people have finished in all the other formulas... you were probably missing some book points too...
I copied the formula down from the first blank line to the bottom

I was updating my sheet, but something went wrong. It keeps uploading and giving the message that it can't upload it...
Google keeps "upgrading"... I noticed they changed the color palette the other day from squares to circles... it's a bit jarring after so long with the old look...
Hey guys, could someone add more rows with the formula to my sheet? I'm on my phone and it stops at row 250 i think.Thank you :)

Thank you!
Fixed!"
Thank you!
I think everyone's sheet might be messed up on row 108-109, or at least most... I know I fixed somebody else's sheet a few weeks/months ago... it's just a matter of reaching the row and finding the problem... clearly something went wrong early, before all the sheets were duplicated to make the teams...
Problem solved! There was a problem in the bonus point calculations of row 40 and 70 of Sha's scoresheet. That messed up Sha's total points, then the House of Chains score, and then everything :p
Just out of pure curiousity, will there be a 3rd edition of this? I know we have a bit more than 1 month to go.

I dunno, but I hope so... outside of the whole competitive aspect, I think the competition is great for group participation/interaction/etc... and I don't think I'm the only one...
Biggest question is probably finding time for another Draft, assuming they go that route again... mods have been pretty busy this year...

I hope we'll have another year too, and not just 'cause I want to help design the spreadsheet again :)
@Iain: I share your thoughts on that. The competitive thing is just a side part for me, it's more the interaction and sharing thoughts about books. I think it's good for group bounding.@Virginie: but that certainly was well done.

I agree. I do it for the camaraderie, but I think the teams shouldn't be drafted so much as just assigned based on the previous two years standings to make sure its a tighter overall race. That adds to the fun.
Saar The Book owl wrote: "Just out of pure curiousity, will there be a 3rd edition of this? I know we have a bit more than 1 month to go."I hope so! I'm planning to take things slower next year and not read quite as much but still, the teams have been so much fun!
For the past two years I have enjoyed the discussions and banter, and I must admit at times the competition. @Rob, as far as a draft goes, you never know how one is to perform in the next year? Too bad we can't put everyone's name in a hat and draw them out, LOL.

That's what I'm planning also, in theory, but no idea if it will work ;)
I was happy with the bonus point changed this year, that made doing 29-39 BRs less overpowering, compared to just reading more of what you want... challenge points, too... it’s taken me 9 months to almost catch Julia, who doesn’t really benefit from bonus points much, just pure pages...
The audiobook “penalty” has been less of an issue, too... if only because I’ve read more pages this year thanks to the Top 5 Editions Rule...

I don't think I've read more BR's then last year. I should check, but this year gave me more space to read what I wanted. But I should preoritise BR's more. Now I've had a few that I've dropped out or forgot.
Can someone look to my sheet, please? I've entered the book before the last book, but there's a remark that it's an not - valid date.
I don't see any problem; either someone came and fixed it already, or the spreadsheet was a little slow to respond.*shrugs*
I've loved the competition, mostly because I love the spreadsheet tracking and I enjoy the actual competitive part. I know people keep saying they don't care about the actual competition and they're just doing it for fun, but I've love trying my best to (trying and inevitably failing) catch up to Iain while not really doing BRs and reading mostly physical books.
I finally had to add more rows to my sheet, I hope everything is ok with the formulae, can someone check my page when they have a second just to make sure? Thanks!

I am in awe of all the 1,000 point plus participants, truly my hat is off to all of you!!

I think it was slow. I have that a lot with it.
And also, the sheet gives me a great overview of what I'm reading in a year. It's great to track that.
I got Julia's monthly page/point breakdowns working, mostly because I was curious to see the numbers myself, and how I caught up... seems she only read half as much in May/July/September, and had a read strong start in January/February/March

Oops. Sorry about that- I don't think I noticed. Is there anything I can do to prevent this in the future?

Acting very tweeney :)

You mean embarrassed by the content of the books?... or just a general statement?

I'd like to keep using my sheet until the end of the year. It's great for keeping track of things!Could someone please add the monthly stats and progress for nov and dec? I'd rather not touch it, since i have no idea what I'm doing 😅
Thanks guys <3

I completely forgot to revert it the monthly trackers to the normal ones...
Thanks for cleaning up my mess :p
Sha wrote: "Oops. Sorry about that- I don't think I noticed. Is there anything I can do to prevent this in the future?"No problem (and probably not your fault to begin with :p). Just signal here if you have #REF popping up instead of the book points :)

Done! I'll keep using the sheet until the end of the year too; yay for cool reading stats :)

I only partially cleaned it up... I didn't fix the book counts... every formula needs to be carefully modified, since different people have different columns, so you can't just copy formulas between sheets...
