I remembered reading this book a couple years back I think it was around 2012, I don’t have that much details but it’s a series I’m sure of it

This is reminding me of The Angel Experiment but it's been so long since I read it, I could be way off. If you remember the cover, try searching through the various editions as there has been a lot of different cover art for this one.
