Although you will not need to make selection posts like in the PtP, your teammates might like ideas for what to read so sharing what you're reading could be very helpful. If you have any question if your book qualifies, it would be better to find out before you read it - ask your teammates or in the Q&A/Announcement thread.

Books must be 90 pages and MPG (Main Page Genre) Romance. Contemporary Romance, Historical Romance, Paranormal Romance or similar is acceptable, but it must be romance. Audiobooks and rereads are ok. Books can only be read once per person during the challenge even if it fits multiple categories. The same book can be read by teammates though. Once the task for the date is announced, you may not tag a book so that it fits or edit any lists - this must be done before the date begins.

🌹Theme - Book Boyfriends🌹

The dates will begin on Saturdays at 6 PM EST, at that time the task for each date will be announced. Books must be completed and posted by the following Friday at Midnight EST, except when 'Visiting the Family' when you will have until the second Friday. Roses will be awarded before the next date begins. Each date we will be working towards spelling out B-A-C-H-E-L-O-R. The potential tasks for each letter will be posted in advance, but you will not know which task will be used until the date begins.

Roses are earned by:
🌹 The first rose per team is earned for reading 4 books fitting the task during the date.
Bonus roses may be earned by:
🌹 The team that finishes 4 books and posts in the Q&A/Announcement thread first wins a bonus rose. Note, posting is required to earn this rose.
🌹 Teams with each member completing the task (with a minimum of 6 books read) earn an additional rose.
🌹 Teams finishing 8+ books during the date win an additional rose.

Teams will not be eliminated even if they earn no roses, they will have a chance to catch up by earning additional roses on other dates. Players will be eliminated if they do not complete the task on two consecutive dates. Eliminated players will not be replaced. Remember, players are allowed to read multiple books for a given date in order to earn bonuses and/or to make up for teammates who do not read their book or who have been eliminated.

Hi! I’m Eugenia and I live in Alaska. (And, yes, we were affected by the earthquake last week, but our home is safe aside from some broken dishes and glass. Schools will open back on Monday). We’re on ADST which is one our behind the West Coast.

I read/listen to MM....I used to do MF (historical) but reading all of the Outlander books and the MM spin-offs set me on a new course 😉. I read a lot (about 1 book per day) but I’m slowing down lately since I’ve been doing a lot more audiobooks. I read ALL genres in MM—I just stay away from bad writing. I’m happy to see another MM reader in the group *waves to Becky*!

I teach high school & have a daughter, husband and a dog.

I'm Sandy from southern CA (Pacific time zone). When I see where everyone is from it makes me want to travel! I have two golden retrievers and a cat. I love reading - I'll read just about anything, but contemporary romance is my go-to. I also love audiobooks - I usually have one kindle and on audiobook going on at the same time. I'll be able to read a lot more through December, but I go back to work in January (I do taxes) so I won't have quite as much time but I should still be about to read a couple of books a week then.

I don't listen to audiobooks much these days, but I listened to them all the time when I lived in Houston. When you've got an hour or more commute every day, it leaves plenty of time to listen to books!

I'm poking around in my shelves, marking books that will work for each of this week's options. I'd like to try to read 2 books that fit the category every week, so hopefully we can get a bonus rose. I'm keeping an eye out for shorter titles too, so maybe we'll have a fighting chance at getting the extra rose for finishing first. There are a lot of teams, so the competition for that one will be fierce, but it's worth a shot!

So is there just one category called and we keep reading as many books as we can that fit that category throughout the week?

Yup. We know this week will be 'B', but not which one. We get our first rose when the team has completed 4 books in the theme. We can get bonus roses for:

being the first team to finish 4 books
everyone on the team finishing at least one book in the theme
the team finishing 8 books in the theme

So once everyone's read one, and we've hit 8 as a group, we're maxed out and won't earn any more for any extra books. But if you're enjoying the theme you can certainly read more for fun if you want to!

Any MM readers have something for Bank? I just finished Oz by Lily Morton which would have worked since one of the MCs is an Earl (albeit with some money troubles). It was the funniest book I’d read in a long time!!

I've only got 2 mm titles flagged for Bank so far, Dead Ringer and Future Fake Husband. Both qualify because of their tags. I'm going to keep poking around in my shelves and see if I can find anything else.
